Story
Apple is a 2.7 year old female Jindo mix weighing 18lbs who was rescued from the Korean Meat Trade and brought to New York to find her forever home. She gets along well with other dogs, and loves running around in the yard with them. She is shy when first meeting new people, but with time and patience she gets comfortable and cuddly. She is currently working on her leash training and housebreaking. She will definitely need another four legged creature in the home and a quieter household without a lot of coming and going. A securely fenced yard is a must for this gal. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org Only applications submitted directly to Pet Rescue will be considered.

Story
We think handsome guy is a jindo mix, and he does show the classic aloof personality of the breed. Jindos are also well known for loyalty to their owners, so, with patience and understanding, his new family will most likely earn Shadow’s devotion. He likes playing with toys, his favorites being a big, fuzzy ball and a rubber duck! He rounds out his play and training sessions leaning in for some petting. Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about Shadow, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.org for more information about and directions to the shelter.

Story
Husky, that's his name, is clearly not of that breed, though he sure seems comfortable in the snow. He's a handsome guy (look at those eyes) who handlers enjoy working with. He's friendly, smart and an easy going dog...but does prefer to live in a home without cats. Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about Husky, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Story
He has spunk, he has flair, he has fabulous poofy hair! They say his name is FitzSimmons, but I am pretty sure our boy is channeling Richard Simmons!!  Fitz has been sweating to the oldies working on his figure. How did he do it? “ Number one, love yourself, Number two, eat healthy and number 3, MOVE THOSE BUNS!" Fitz is a pro at working out because he loves following his leader. He knows a lot of ways to move his buns sit, stay, down, come, jazz hands, heel, he walks like a charm on a leash and loves playing fetch! Fitz is a 5 ½ year old Jindo Mix who is very loyal and loving. When he is not working on his figure he loves sitting next to you cuddling or simply watching you go about your daily household routine!! He told us he knows his people are out there!  Fitz would do best in a home outside of the big city.  All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption.  Interested in fostering or adopting?  Need more info on this dog?  The first step in the process is filling out an application on our website.  Adoption application:  www.nycsecondchancerescue.org/general-application/ Foster application:  https://www.nycsecondchancerescue.org/dog-foster-application/ Adoption process & fees:  www.nycsecondchancerescue.org/process/ Upcoming events:  www.facebook.com/pg/SecondChanceRescueNycDogs/events States we adopt to:  NY, NJ, CT, DE, PA, MD, NH, ME, VT, RI, MA  Please apply to Foster or Adopt the Fabulous FitzSimmons  If you are interested in adopting Fitz he is available through nycsecondchancerescue.org ##227911##
