She could be one of the Golden Girls, yes she's a bit older but she is spunky, sweet and lets you know when she's had enough! This beautiful sweet girl was dumped in a shelter covered with fleas and ticks and in pain all over her body...probably from being kept in small quarters where her muscles atrophied and her skin is worn and missing fur on all parts used to lay down.  Don't think she ever had a comfy bed or gentle hand pet her.  When you saw her in the shelter your thinking this is an old dog...she just laid there in misery.  She would get up when you came to her but wept everywhere you pet her.  Had several litters of pups over the years. Well now, after just two weeks this sweet girl gets so excited when you come home...wags her tail and at times seems like she almost wants to jump up.  She is loving life.  All she wants to do is get pets and snuggle with you.  She has an awesome personality.  She is still sore in some places and has arthritis in her hips and legs but what a difference a little medical care and love can do.  And in actuality she is not even that old, I think in a few more weeks she is going to start building more muscle and getting even stronger...this girl still has a lot of life to live.  If your interested in a chow mix, she will be a great companion maybe not your hiking buddy but your snuggling up watching movies buddy!  Minna is around 9 years old and 30 pounds.  All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax =  $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.  For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.   Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process. This is KAI and he was recently returned to Dallas Dog through no fault of his own. He is approximately 9 years young and has an AMAZING temperament! KAI is so CHILL and will go with just about any flow of dogs and people of all sizes and temperaments. He is even CAT FRIENDLY! Unfortunately we are short on fosters and he is currently in rescue boarding. KAI is that quintessential all-American family dog like you see in the movies or read about in books. Summer is just around the corner. KAI needs to be laying at someone's feet watching baseball or hanging out at the creek with a bunch of kiddos. He is a side-kick, a best buddy. Every day this amazing boy spends in boarding is another day a family is missing out on him.
