Story
Hello!! I'm Smudge, it's so nice to meet you! I'm an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever/ Rottweiler mix. The staff think I'm the cutest thing, and I'm not complaining, that means more treats!! They love my white and gray face, my sweet eyes and my personality. They think I'm just lovely. There is something you should know, I have a sore on one of my rear legs, and it never healed because I kept licking it. It's okay, though, the shelter staff are helping me heal and keeping me from licking my leg. I love people and I get so excited when I see them! When staff members walk by my kennel, I get up off my bed and do a little happy dance in front of my door because I get so excited to see them! I would like to meet any potential roommates (human and canine) before moving in, to make sure we are the perfect match. I could live in a home with cats, but preferably ones who are nice to big pups like me! I don't really mind cats, if they don't bother me, I won't bother them! I would be ok with a home with older children, but in my older years I'm less tolerant of exuberant little humans and a calm home seems like the best place for me. I sorta live in my own little world and do my own thing, but I also love attention, snacks, and being pet! I am house-trained and I am a go with the flow type of gal. I'm looking for a home who's lifestyle will mesh well with mine. I think I'd enjoy a home with a big doggy bed, lots of blankets and some snuggle time. I can't wait to find my new home with people who can love me. If you'd like to meet me, please come to Stray Haven and ask for me!
