I took Max in when my Dad passed away a year ago. I am allergic to him so I can't pet him. He really needs/deserves to be in a loving quiet home where he can get the attention he needs. He is approx 9 and is in great health. He is a super sweet boy.

Story
VULCAN Breed:  Labrador Mix / Adoption fee is $100  / Sex:  Male / Age: Approximately  about a year old / Weight: 44 pounds   Well hiya! My name is Vulcan and I am a Lab mix. I came from the Glenpool shelter with a few others when that shelter needed more space. There is not a lot of history about me prior to my arrival here. I just wound up here at Pet Angels after being a stray. Since coming to Pet Angels I have made my presence very well known. I had a lot to say, okay? But now I have calmed down and I have had good standing with the staff so I got to go out to the play yards and make new friends. I like other doggies a lot! I am still a youngster so I still have a lot of energy to spare. Be that as it may, I am still very lovable. The Pet Angels staff is still trying to figure out the ins and outs of my personality and once that comes to light, you will be able to find all of my information here. House Manners: Vulcan has been in our kennel runs and keeps a clean indoor portion and has been in our doggie dormitories and keeps it spic and span there too. He has also been in a home for 5 days and had no accidents. Basic Training: He does know sit, down and stay (although he'd rather not). Other Dogs: Vulcan gets along well with other dogs as he is in our play yards and hasn't had any issues and also got along well with the dog when he was in a home. Cats: Vulcan failed his cat test and showed aggression with intent to harm with a cat, so the cat test was ended with only a distant leash interaction. Kids: Unknown, will evaluate soon Fencing: Vulcan has been in our dormitories and has been able to jump over the 6ft portion. He will need a secure yard to live in. The adoption fee is $100.This dog has had its age appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration , and also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance  . Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption: We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are okay, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!! Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height, due to safety, the breed or known history. We are looking for pet parents that provide vet care such as routine vaccines for their pets and heartworm prevention for dogs. Please understand we do cross check vet references and landowners/landlord policies and cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information. We asked that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam in the first 30 days to establish with your vet and obtain their heartworm prevention prescriptions and have a fecal exam administered as some pets may need additional de-womers after leaving our care.   Please submit an Pre-Adoption Application by clicking our logo button below (if visible) or visiting www.petangelsrescue.org to show your interest in adoption (Only submit one app). This questionnaire simply helps inform us if the dog you are interested in might match your families dynamics based on what we have learned about that dog. All of our pets at Pet Angels Rescue are featured on our independent website and can be accessed from our PETS FOR ADOPTION PAGE, take a look as there may be more than one at our facility that you like. We do not have staffed phones for questions, please visit these pages on our main web site, Before You Adopt & Adoption Process & App. if you don't find the information you are needing please submit a E-mail.  Ok State Ag License #STL00034

Story
JAX Breed: Labradane (Lab Dane mix best guess)  / Adoption fee is $75  / Sex: Male  / Age: Approximately 1.5 yrs old / Weight: Approximately 65-70 pounds  Jax is nervous when meeting new people  He was an outgoing guy when he left us a few months ago but was returned for being leery with strangers coming and going from the home.  The previous adopter doesn't know what changed his behavior. There was a lot of people coming in and out of her home due to young kids, etc., so it just wasn't a good match.  Jax was over protective, barking at company and sometimes nipping. He is ideal for a quiet home that doesn't have a lot of company.  He will follow you around all day if you let him and is a great sidekick. However, he will also be an oversized lap dog if you let him. Jax loves to play with toys and is really good at playing fetch.  He would make someone a great running partner.   House Manners: Jax is housebroken and can be left in the home alone and unsupervised if the trash can is secure. Basic Training: Jax knows Sit very well and Down with a treat. He also responds to Come and Stay. He needs work on the word NO with food hitting the floor but does pretty well. He walks on a leash without pulling too much.  Other Dogs: Jax can be in a home with other dogs but he may be a little possessive of his person.  He is easy to correct and he will settle down, with proper guidance, as he gets used to his new home . Cats: Jax's was cat tested and at first seemed to respect the cat and preferred avoiding it. Eventually he took an interest in chasing the cat, so a home without cats is ideal. Kids: Jax actually loves kids once he is bonded with them, but he may not like the kids' friends that come to visit. He gets nervous and protective if his kids wrestle with their friends.  He starts barking and growling to get them to stop.  Fencing: Jax is housed in our doggie dorms with a  4ft and 6 ft portion and he has not gone over either one of them. The adoption fee is $75. This dog has had age appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with a Rabies vaccine (4 m & older); heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention; basic dewormer; spayed or neutered; and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration.  He also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance  .
