Story
BEING FOSTERED IN NORTH VANCOUVER Cooper always has a big smile for everyone! Cooper was rescued by our sister organization in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where a kind woman found the starving dog on the beach and brought him to the shelter. Now, 2 months later he is a happy, healthy pup, weighing 30lbs. We think him to be about 2 years old. He is a medium energy boy who enjoys playing with other dogs, but prefers females. Cooper hasn´t co-habited with cats before and is rather afraid of them, so a home without felines would be nicer for him. He enjoys cuddles from his humans and snuggling on the couch. When it´s time for walkies, he does very well on leash. Cooper has been neutered, fully vaccinated and dewormed and is ready for a home! Please email us for an application form to adopt him: spcapv@gmail.com

Story
Meet Bison! This sweet, lovable boy had a ruff start in life but boy has he thrived once he figured out how great life could be! Bison was rescued from a hoarding situation and has done an incredible job learning to trust, how to live in a home and is such an amazing dog - we are constantly amazed at his resilience! Bison is housetrained and crate trained. He lives in a foster home with several other dogs and does great with all of them! As a matter of fact, he would do best in a home with another k9 or two to be his best friends - he loves being part of a pack! He has met some older kids and was in their lap immediately! He loved all the cuddles and kisses! He is very playful and happy and LOVES toys! He will throw them up in the air and catch them if there&#39s no one around to play fetch. He likes to be touching all the time and will put his paws on his people whenever they pet him. He extremely loving and affectionate so if you&#39re looking for a cuddle bug, Bison is your dog! He likes couch cuddles, taking walks, treats and learning new tricks! Bison is currently being fostered in Houston, TX. He would come to his new home on professional transport. Hi! My name is Tucker! I'm a Black Lab. Please read my bio below! (This is a courtesy posting for a 501c3 non-profit.) Weight and Age: I am 75 pounds and am approximately 2 years old. Background: I was pulled by the rescue from a kill shelter here in Houston after several of the volunteers had seen a posting on the shelter site asking for a rescue to commit to me. I had been picked up by animal control and I am now in a loving foster home with another dog and am loving it! Medical Status: I have been neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on shots, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. I have no other health issues and am heart worm negative. YAY! Activity level: I am pretty active since I'm still young and love to play with my friends (human and dog alike)! Potty Training/Crate Training: I am crate-trained and potty-trained by my foster mom! Other Animals: Loves other dogs - Not a fan of cats. Location: Houston, TX but I'm available for out of state adoptions! If you are interested or have any questions, please email doggydarlings12@gmail.com. My adoption fee is $450 and includes my vetting, neutering, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND air transportation from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S. (Portland and Seattle) and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

Hi, my name is LOGAN. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya! https://youtu.be/ecfxslMRUJc Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? I need a house with a fenced-in yard so I can run and play in safety. (You may see me listed in several cities looking for my new home.) Wanna know more about me? OK, here goes! I am a Lab/Dobie mix. I am 1 and 1/2 years old. I weigh 60 pounds. I have had all of my shots and have been neutered so I am ready to travel to my new home with YOU. I have also been microchipped - whatever THAT is! I like playing with other doggies. I like kids, too, and those big humans named adults. I am a young and energetic pup and like to play and cuddle. Can you stand hearing more good stuff about me? I am a gentle, sweet and nice boy, they say. I need to learn all the things that will make me a good doggie and keep me safe. Will you do that for me......please? Oh, how I would love to have my own home and some peeps to cuddle with and they could love me and take good care of me. That is my first dream! My second dream is all about treats and playing and romping with my new family. Ah, I can see it all now! If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email doggydarlings12@gmail.com and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $450 USD and includes my vetting, neutering, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND airline transportation from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S. and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting. )

Activity level: I am pretty active since I'm still young and love to play with my friends (human and dog alike)! Potty Training/Crate Training: I am crate trained and learning potty training from my foster mom! Other Animals: Loves other dogs but vocalizes when playing so if another dog is reactive they may not like him. Not a fan of cats. Special Needs: I was very skinny when I was found and can have some food aggression with bones and my food bowl. I'm fine when my foster mom is near my bowl but I don't like it when another dog comes close so I eat in my kennel and then there's no problem! Location: Houston, TX but I'm available for out of state adoptions! If you have any questions please email my foster mom at nicole.whar94@yahoo.com

Story
Donna ❤️ How cute is this little lady?!? She is approximately 3 years old, and weighs around 45 lbs- she has some weight to put on, but is a very medium-sized girl. She is spending some foster time decompressing from her experience in a Texas shelter, and will arrive at the end of January in the Lower Mainland. She is sweet-natured and affectionate. And, as you can see from her photos, she has great fashion sense 😬. She’s got sweet little freckled feet, and an adorable nubbish tail. Check out the comments section for her videos. Donna’s Texan foster mom says this: "Donna was pulled from a kill shelter in Texas after her owner surrendered her possibly pregnant. She was spayed and saved from the euthanasia list. She is very underweight, but is slowly putting some on and starting to wag her adorable nub tail! She’s a big cuddle bug and is content being just being near you. She knows “sit” and has the cutest head tilt. She’s smart and loves giving kisses. She’s kennel and potty trained. She’s friendly, but was unsure of the little people she met. A home with respectful/older kids and no cats is where she would fit right in. She’s super easy. Not destructive. Never had an accident inside the house. She’s just the biggest cuddle bug and loves giving kisses." *** She’s happy and very loving with adults and with older kids. Donna has been unsure of young children that don’t respect her personal space. This may change as she continues to decompress from her terrible experience before and at the shelter. For now, we are looking for a home with kids 10 and up who are dog-savvy and dog-respectful (or with no kids is fine, too). She’s both ignored and growled at the foster’s cat, so we are saying ‘no cats’ for now. She would likely be fine with well-socialized dogs.
