Story
Lexi is a 12 year old lab/chow mix. She is a gentle sweetheart who is house and leash-trained. She has never had an accident inside. She loves kids and is not very jumpy. She loves being outside and going for a walk. She has been both an indoor and outdoor dog. She would do best in a home that can give her the attention she deserves. After getting married and now having a baby on the way, we are not the right home for her, so we unfortunately need to find her a new loving home. As she has gotten older she has mild cataracts and becomes defensive around other dogs, but has never shown any aggression towards humans. Her ideal home would probably not have any other dogs, unless you are someone who has experience introducing dogs to each other and are willing to be patient with this sweet lady.

Story
Hank IS AVAILALBE (updated 04-05-2020).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Hank, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21190&name=HankThis is the face of a dog who will love you more than biscuits. This face will bring you balls to throw, because he knows it&#39s your favorite thing. Well, he might bring you balls. He might not. He might know that you love him so much, you want him to hold all three balls in his mouth and experience bliss/ball nirvana. But, he might bring you balls. He probably will bring you balls, because he knows you adopted him and he owes his new life to you. He&#39ll lean in for a cuddle, give you a wink, and let you know you&#39re even better than balls. ð&#194&#159&#194&#152&#194&#129This is really unbelievable, but we&#39ve had Hank since November of 2014. He wasn&#39t even a year old when we rescued him from the San Bernardino City Shelter... he&#39s grown into those ears of his and turned into a gorgeous adult dog.Around 5 years old, Hank is not only gorgeous, but he also has a very playful personality and knows how to turn on the charm. He loves his people, is obedience trained, has a huge food and ball drive, and is as smart as a whip, but not a huge fan of strangers. Hank is seeking an energetic home that knows how to handle working dogs. He needs a home that can provide structure, boundaries, and has working breed or dominant dog experience, but he responds very well to leadership and is one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

For more information and the adoption application for Poncho, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=20996&name=PonchoIn the spring of 2014, a litter of newborns was found sleeping in a drain pipe. Thanks to a Good Samaritan, the mother and her puppies were saved, one of them being Poncho. If you are looking for a young, energetic, ball crazy, trained, Ridgeback-y looking big boy and have the time to show him structure, boundaries, and work on continuing his socialization, this boy will have you smiling from ear to ear for years to come.We&#39ve been working with this handsome purple tongued boy for over two years now. Poncho was terrified of everything he didn&#39t know and he knew nothing except the home in which he was being forced to leave. He was petrified. He was unsure of himself, his surroundings, strangers, other dogs, and he was lashing out. He&#39s come so far, but he still needs a low traffic household and someone who will continue to introduce him to the world around him. Poncho&#39s now obedience trained, so much less fearful, so much more trusting, and so responsive. He just needs someone who can spend time with him and show him how to become the dog he was meant to be.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. For more information and the adoption application for Lala, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21873&name=LalaHer name is Lala. Seriously, Lala. That might make you think of Van Morrison, Vanderpump Rules, The Fugees, or that bus song. I don&#39t know why, but every time I say her name, I start singing &#39the wheels on the bus go round and round.&#39 Just in my head, not out loud, or I wouldn&#39t be able to write this post, as I&#39d be locked in a room that doesn&#39t allow sharp instruments nor WiFi. I&#39m rambling. What you really need to know? You need to know that this beauty used to hate being too close to other dogs, maybe due to deep-seated intimacy issues and a love gone bad, but now enjoys other dogs and lives in a house full of them. She&#39s a player, a cuddler, a lover of food in excess (we call it like we see it), great on a leash, and ready to fill your life with song. This GSD/Lab mix spent two weeks on the euthanasia list and almost didn&#39t make it out of the shelter. Lala loves her people, older children included, is potty trained, and will let you know when she needs to go outside by picking up her leash and bringing it to you. Don&#39t be lazy- take her for a walk. ð&#194&#159&#194&#152&#194&#129The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500.
