Mercy is just under 50 lbs and looks like a Chocolate lab mix She just turned 6 years old, Mercy has been Spayed, had a Dental and has a clean bill of health! Mercedes is the momma of the litter of awesome pups that have all found homes, but Mercedes, we like to call her Mercy is still looking for her forever home. The donation for this dog is $295.00. She does not seem to have had a very good life before now - she came to us afraid of basically everything and everyone, people standing up and trying to pet her terrified her. We did find that crouching down, or just sitting on the ground makes a huge difference for her and even with strangers she is getting better and better! I would guess that she was kept outside in a kennel always - she came with a scraped up nose from rubbing on the bars of the kennel and silver teeth from the kennel as well. She was also very thin, of course that can happen when you have just given birth to puppies! She is WAY more comfortable outside, and shows great interest in being pet when outside (again if you crouch down). She is definitely getting more comfortable with being inside as well, but is very apprehensive of new areas, for us we have a carpeted area that she has show great fear of going on. She loves to come up to me now when I am sitting and will even lay down and lean into me while being pet! She is VERY treat motivated so that has been extremely helpful, IF it is the treats she likes - I think she is the first dog I have ever fostered that does not like cheese! She does love the Cadet Duck Jerky and so has been really good with that. She has been nervous coming in the door from outside and I think it has more to do with being cornered and the fear of that, but with patience and treats she comes in. She loves the bed we have setup for her and I will be sending it with her for her comfort. Her adopter will need to be someone very patient as she has been at our house for approximately 10 weeks and has come great strides with us, but I believe will need the gift of time from any adopter, but it will be worth it! Mercy has shown NO aggression in anyway even when she is scared and shaking. She is such a good gentle soul that really needs a family or person of her own to be patient and show her love. All adult dogs are heartworm tested & have had spay or neuter surgery. K9LLR puppies/dogs are also up to date on vaccines, deworming & have been given Nexgard Oral or similar Flea/Tick preventative. Heartworm Preventative ( Interceptor Plus or Iverhart Max ) is given to dogs 4 months & up. All dogs are groomed prior to adoption! The donation for this dog is $295.00. (Adult dogs are FULLY VETTED for 1 Year- ALL dogs/pups come with a voucher for a FREE Wellness Exam @ Lakeview Veterinary Care) If you would like to meet/adopt this dog you Must Submit an Application which is on our website under Adoption Process. These foods can be found at most PetCo, Feed & Whole Foods Market Stores in any state OR FREE delivery from Amazon, Bentley's PetStuff.com or Chewy. Serious inquiries only!
