Story
Meet Rhiannon JuM Name: What’s my name, oh nana what’ my name? Am I talking to a banana like pretending it is phone? Anyway, my name is Rhiannon, not to be confursed with Rihanna the songstress. Rhiannon is hard to spell and say, so my squad calls me ReeRee. Because no one likes a name that is a mouthful, you need to leave room for weenies not names. Origin: I am from Paris! Paris, I know, it sounds so pretentious and stuffy, but it is just another small town. I wish I was from a breezy cool ocean place like Barbados, but I am from a hot place called Texas. I was scooped up along the highway in the middle of nowhere along with a friend when a transport truck was bringing dogs from Paris, Texas. Favorite Rihanna Song: Umbrella of course. It says exactly what I feel about humans: Told you I'll be here forever, Said I'll always be your friend, Took an oath that I'm a stick it out 'til the end… You can stand under my umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh. Please note it is a figure of speech, I don’t actually carry an umbrella, that would be ridick. Temperament: I have to admit when I first got to rescue camp, I was feeling scared. But now that I know everybuddy is a buddy here, I am a friendly, playful, affectionate girl. Sometimes though, when I go new places like Adoption Events, I get a little shy at first with all the noise and traffic, but I adjust after a while. Body Shape/Age/Weight/Breed: I am an athletic build and jump the 4 foot fence here to see what is litterally on the other side. Not to see the green grass though, I jump to see the humans! I have a good amount energy because I am between 1 and 2 years old. I am a Labrador and Pit Bull mix. Likes: Dogs, people, exploring, extra hugs, extra weenies, extra treats, extra pets. Ideal Home: You won’t have to make me feel like the Only Girl (In The World) because I get along with all types of doggies, big small, old young, boy girl. But my ideal home must have HUMANS, I make a beeline to wherever the humans are. Plus someone has to do the grocery shopping. I mean I like dogs, and I will stop and sniff and say howdy, but dogs don’t have pockets full of weenies, so obviously I prefer humans who do have pockets. Do you have pockets? If so, adopt me! Basics: Rhiannon JuM GDR-A-3383 - female, 1 year 8 months, Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull mix, red/white, friendly, happy, fun, playful, great with all dogs, loves humans, a little shy and timid when in new environments, leash and crate trained. Story
Introducing Sven JuM A Swedish hunk. Just like Sven from that epawsode of Golden Girls. Rose’s young cousin Sven arrives from Sweden by way of St. Olaf to the United States to meet his bride. Comic hijinx ensued and yada yada Blanche goes on a date and then Sven dumps her for his young bride to be. It was enuff to make you laugh your fluehuebertuben off. I am not actually from Sweden, I am from San Antonio by way of San Antonio. But the hunky blonde part is totally a fact. I am a medium energied golden good boy maybe made of some conglomuttration of Shepherd and yellow Labrador. I am between 4 and 5 years old and weighed only 52 pounds upawn arrival but they think I will bulk up to the 60’s once I eat all the flenderhooven. I am great meeting other dogs and know that the social convention is a quick sniffy whiff to the tutenbobels, cheeks of the butt, in actual St. Olaf termuttnology. I have a happy warm sun shiney dispawstion. I can really rock a “I am on my way to Florida for the rest of my life shirt” but is it to retire or surf, you will never know, it’s an enigmutt. If you have been looking to adopt a cool smooth youngish dude, with a nice medium energy level, enuff to play with the young dogs, but not enuff to drive my owner nuts. I am the Sven for you. So do you wanna share a vanskapkaka: a friendship cake, a real word too, with me? Basics: Sven JuM GDR-A-3717- male, 4 years 6 months, 52 lbs but should be closer to 60 lbs now that he is getting proper feeding, Shepherd/Lab mix, good with dogs, yellow, mid energy, smart, happy, playful, really a terrific all around male dog. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Story
Dear Diary, Tuhday the Rescue Humans dressed me in a tutu. They made Rescue Human jokes like “Lana, you look tutu cute.” And “look at the grumpy ballerina”. I admit, the frock was a bit scritchy and not in a good way. Usually I am smiling. But being bootyful is worf it. I looked fantabuttlous and the way the bow glistened as I wagged my tail was pretty adorabull. If this is a ticket to get adopted, I am in! I am happy that my Rescue Human also took in my sister Gardenia. I would never leave my sister behind, she is not only my sister but my friend. Plus she totally looks up to me, she has to, I am taller than her. One of the Rescue Humans even said I am “chunkier” than her and what isn’t good about being chunky! Chunky peanut butter is cronchy! I like that. That’s me chunky Lana. I am 4 months old at the end of February and right now I am shaping up to be a medium to large size Lab mix. At Rescue Camp, I am winning Miss Most Outgoing and Miss Most Whimsical Wagger and Most Likely To NonStop Talk About The Family Trip To The Park If She Had A Family To Take Her To The Park. I need a family to teach me rules and take me to school and the park and the beach and even *gasp* even the V-E-T! Over and out Diary, Lana P.S. Busted! You read this. Don’t you know diaries are private business. Now, this is everybuddy’s business and I am not talking poop business, I am talking “getting adopted” business. Okay, tell your friends to read this too. My business is your business. Pick it up both litterally and figuratively. Basics: Lana JuM- - female, 4 months (at the end of February), Lab mix, will likely be medium/large, black/white, happy and sweet, smart, happy, outgoing, good with dogs, fun and loves people and attention. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our puppies are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested if not started on heartworm preventatives early, and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $500 for puppies under a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Story
Introducing Mama Theresa JuM The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That an ancient pawverb. Since the humans named me after Mother Theresa, I am feeling it necessary to have my bio start with a teachable moment. Possums are our friends. Repeat. Possums are our friends. Possums eat ticks. Humans and dogs hate ticks. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I am currently on antibioticks for a tick borne disease called Ehrlichia pronounced errrrlickya. Furthermore, the xray vision photos that Dr G took also revealed more evidents, dents in my past. Tadah you have an old injury on your front right leg and right hip. That explains the limp. No surgery required but I am taking some glucosamine in the hopes that it kinda just glues by bones back together. Obviously due to that Vet report I have not been living on easy street. I am a sweet loving 4 year old 50 pound Doberman Labrador mix. Dr G even threw out Greyhound as a guesstimutt due to my elegant snout and super lanky legs. Super model mutterial right here. But wait, there is more, I am a litteral Mother and not in the way of Mother Theresa or Mother Nature. I actually was rescued from Laredo, Texas, along with a brood of 5 gorgeous babies. Unlike my puppies, I am crate trained and good on leash. I am good around other dogs and humans. In fact, I ADORE humans. I would prefer a home that does not have rowdy playful dogs because I am not too active due to my gimpy legs. I would enjoy a home with a place to relax and an evening stroll with my human or canine pal. My puppies are now weaned due to their shark teefers. They can eat the hard kibble. I am ready to start my own life. A better life than the one I existed in prior to rescue. My tick disease will clear up with the antibioticks, but my limp shall remain. I am hoping that you and I can make new memories to replace my first 4 years of things that I would rather forget. Cliff’s Notes: Mama Theresa JuM- sweet loving female 4yr black Lab/Doberman/Greyhound mix, 50 lbs, did test positive for Ehrilichia and is receiving treatment, has a limp on the right side due to past injuries that do not require further treatment, good with dogs and humans, sweet, not too active due to gimpy legs. Story
Hit the theme music to Rocky the movie, because I expect that is what you will hummmm in your head every time I enter the living room. It is very muttivating. I am named Rocky because I look like an Italian stallion, but in reality, I am more chunky like Rocky Road icecream, plus I match Rocky Road icecream with my combo of chocolate with black sprinkles and dollups of white fur to signify the marshmellows. Is it just me or is it getting hungry up in here???? I have a Labby dabby dude personality and flappy dappy Labby ears, but obviously, I am a mix. I am 1 year old and 6 months too. I weigh about 60 pounds. But looks are not important, smarts are importanter and behavior is the importantest. You will never hear me randomly borking at phantom noises like some dogs. And you will never find me jumping up on people’s slacks or jeans. Nope. Not this good boy. If you wonder why I am so well behaved, it’s because I went to training to be a service dog for wounded warriors, but I didn’t pass all the tests to finish. That doesn’t mean I am a bad guy, it just means, you get the oppawturnity to use me as a family dog. Those requirements for being a service dog are purty strict and I didn’t cut the mustard, but at least I didn’t cut the cheese. Or maybe I did! I do know words like “sit”, but I can get a little excited so my sit can be a little bouncier than your average sit. I guess that make scents, as if you were in a car on a rocky road. I am great around all dogs and all people. The lady says I need to say I will do best in an active household with lots of attention and walks and activities. That my friends is a eufurmism for “this dog’s gots lots of energy”. I do, but I am also a good boy too once I exercise. Plus I am house house, leash and crate trained, a terrific shotgun car rider. I can’t wait to meet you and hang out and get treats for all my good boy moves.
