Maui is a very playful dog. He loves to play and run. He prefers to be outside. My daughter who is a college student got him and has no time for him and now can not have him in her apartment. My husband and I are busy with work and other obligations. We live in a neighborhood and have a fenced backyard. Maui is in need of land to run and play on. He has torn up our backyard running all the time with his big paws. We are looking for someone to take him that has property for him to run. He will be 3 years old in May.

Story
Otis is a large (69 lbs) 7 year old male (neutered) black lab. He is intelligent and quickly learned house, crate, and obedience training. Otis loves fetch and tug of war, but is also happy napping all afternoon. He has been an exclusively inside dog for the last six years and will keep your toes warm at night. Otis suffers from anxiety issues and thrives in a calm, quiet, and stable environment. Unfortunately, with two small children, we cannot offer him that environment. Otis should NOT be in a home with small children (12 or younger), as they aggravate his anxiety. We made the decision to re-home Otis because we don't believe he can safely live and play with our two young children. Otis' ideal home would be two owners, without children or other pets, that can walk or exercise him daily. His special needs are medication for his anxiety that costs about $10/month. Otis is a loving and gentle dog, but has to be in the right environment to thrive.

Details

Story
Anubis is from Austin TX adopted 3 years ago and moved up with us to Fort Riley when my husband stationed here. He has always been high anxiety and does not get along with dogs right away. He needs time to get to know them. He obsessively stalks cats in a pointer stance. He does not do well with children. I had a baby and he has been stressed beyond belief, developing OCD licking behavior to the point of licking sores into his forepaws. When he gets stressed and scared by other dogs he gets in fights and I'm worried when my baby starts crawling if she gets close to him he will snap at her. He is skiddish inside but loves playing outside, doesn't do his best on walks besides roads because of the cars, but trails he does okay and for a long time I could take him off leash to big fields and he would listen very well. This is no longer true with the baby. He needs lots of time and care in a quiet home.

Story
We found stitch five years ago at a house down the street. How father was a black lab and mother was a Chihuahua. He was forced bred and abused and we took him from the owners to give him a better life that he deserves. At first he had really big issues with other people and other dogs. He is very protective of his home and his territory. After a lot of training and a few schools he is better behaved. He still barks at the mailman, and other brings passing by the house. But take him to a dog park with other dogs and he will love it. We sent him to live my inlaw grandparents to keep them company as they were passing. He loved being on the farm and run all day. Then sit by the lady boy with my grandfather to keep him company. After he had passed we stitch came to live with us again. He's a great loving dog who likes to play wrestle. He needs a lot of exercise that I can not provide anymore due to injuries I have sustained. He needs a home, he needs a pack.
