Story
Hey. My name's Marley. I'm a pit/lab mix, 5.5 years old, 70 lbs, & I have a bright brindle coloring. I've been pretty nervous since I first came here. I've jumped around a little bit, some good homes, some not so good. I've gotten more comfortable in my time here, though. I used to sit in the corner & growl & bark at everyone, but I realized I couldn't get any pets or butt scratches that way, so I figured I could at least be nice to the people here! I'm still not a huge fan of people that walk by, but I'm getting less paranoid every day. I'd like my new home to be a quieter place, not a lot of noise or action or anything like that. I'm gonna be a senior soon, you know! I'm not a puppy anymore! I don't really mind other animals all that much, but I don't really "like" them either. I'd get used to them eventually, everything with me just takes some extra time. I've been through a lot in my life, so I'm definitely not the most trusting dog you've ever met, but if I do decide that you're someone I can trust, I'll protect you to my dying breath! I'm very protective, mostly over women & little kids, but there's a couple guys I don't mind as well. I might seem like a grouchy old man at first, but I've got a heart full of love for anyone who's willing to give me the chance to show it! I've already been neutered, but I'll need to go to the vet to have a couple more things done before I can leave. Maybe if you come by & check me out it'll make that process go a bit faster! All I want is another chance at a new home! Hopefully for good this time!

Story
Like a modern day Bonnie & Clyyyyde!!! WOAH! Don't sneak up on me like that! Don't you know how to knock? Whatever. Name's Clyde. I'm a Lab/Shepherd mix, 8 months old, 38 lbs, & I have a black & brown coloring. What was I doing there? Well, just singing my favorite song! It's by this guy named Travis Tritt. It's about a girl who robs this convenience store, & holds the driver at gunpoint, &...ah, nevermind. It'd take to long to explain. It just holds a special place in my heart is all. Me & my sister Bonnie came to this here jail recently. Well, I guess it's not as bad as what I was in before. I was stuck in a crate in an apartment for like a week, while she got to run around the place all she wanted! The people that were with us before left us there for like a week & never came back, so that's when the cops showed up. Bonnie surrendered & went willingly, but I'm not so easy to bring in! I put up a fight, let me tell ya! Them cops didn't stand a chance! They had to call for backup. Some people came from the place I'm at now & got me. I fought back at first, but they had treats. Hey, what can I say? I'm a sucker for a Beggin' Strip! I figured it was a losing battle & went with them & Bonnie. It's not so bad here. I get 2 meals a day, time outside, all that good stuff. Some of the other dogs around here make me realize how small time my life of crime was! Some of these guys are huge! They're 70, 80, even 90 lbs! They must've been some rough dogs if they've been in here long enough to pump some iron like that! Maybe I'm not such a bad guy after all? Maybe none of the dogs here are. Maybe they've just had a rough life like me & need another chance at it? Hmm, maybe it's time for ol' Clyde to turn over a new leaf! Clean up the streets, not join them! Besides, I know how the story of Bonnie & Clyde ended. If I don't change now, it might not be pretty. Maybe you can be the one that sets me on the right path! I might seem like a mean guy at first, but if you spend a little time with me, I'm just like any other dog! I like to play & stuff just like other puppies do! I may have a rough past, but we can have a bright future together! I'll still need to be neutered before I can leave. If you're looking for a guy who was born into a bad life & needs a 2nd chance, I'm the dog for you! Now, if you'll excuse me. I need to go find my old Travis Tritt CD's.

Story
Hi! My name is Bonnie! I'm a lab/pit mix, 8 months old, 38 lbs, & I have a black & white coloring. Me & my bro, Clyde, came to the shelter here not too long ago. Our last owner abandoned us in our apartment for a week or so. Let me tell ya, I WRECKED that place! I was bouncin' of the walls, I tore up every couch cushion & blanket I could find, & I covered every wall & tile with my poopy footprints! There's only so much you can do all by yourself for days upon days before you get bored, you know! Clyde wasn't so lucky, though. They stuck him in a wire crate the whole time. I would play with him through it, but neither of us were smart enough to figure out how to open that fancy door. We're just babies after all! I don't let it get me down. I always see the positive side of things! Like, uhh, y'know. We're not dead or anything. I'd say that's pretty positive! I went with the cops pretty easily when they found us, but let me tell ya, Clyde sure gave them dirty coppers a heck of a time! It was HILARIOUS! (Why do you think they named us the way they did?) He was barkin, & snarlin, & bitin, & he scared the heck out of 'em! They called up this nice lady & the guy with the camera that does these here interviews with us. They got him out in like 5 minutes! Now we're chillin' here, our life of crime has come to an end! We're gettin' set on the straight & narrow with new families that will give us a 2nd chance for redemption! I'm a little more on the crazy side compared to Clyde. & when I mean a little, I mean a dogs version of little, so basically like a wild rabbit who just pounded 4 cans of red bull in a minute! Haha! I'd love to have a big family or some active owners to keep me busy, & preferably not actually give me red bull. Like, seriously, who the heck would give that to a dog? I digress. I'm getting off topic, though. I kinda have the attention span of a goldfish if you hadn't noticed. I've got all the heart of a dog, though! I'll love you forever & ever & ever & ever & ever & ev....... I'll still need to be spayed before I can leave. If you're looking for a partner in crime, I mean, uhh, *cough* a partner in...cliiimb-ing mountains! Yeah, that's it. (Please don't let those cops take me again! I served my time, dang it!) I'm the girl for you!

Story
Earnest is approximately 4 years old. I agreed to take earnest into my home this past summer after he was found as a stray. Although he is a cool dude with a ton of enthusiasm, curiosity, loyalty, and affection he is not learning to get along with the cats. Earnest would not do well in a home with cats. He has had no exposure to children. He is neutered, he has not been in to get his shots yet. I am happy to pay for his first visit to your local vet! Heidi
