Story
Harley is a soft temperament of a boy that is a young, 2  1/2 years old that is a small medium dog weighing 35 pounds.  This boy is a small Lab/Red Heeler mix, that is a handsome golden brown with white socks on his front feet and a wonderful white tuxedo chest. He has a sweetness about him that reveals itself as he wants to come and get in your lap and just let you know how much he appreciates you and all that you are doing for him.   Harley is not a fan of being outside much and it is probably because he lived on a chain for so much of his young life.  We were contacted by a lady that said she was not able to feed him and was only giving him scraps of food daily.   We provided food for him until we had a physical opening for him to come in to our foster program.  Mr. Harley is very grateful too and shows it every day.  He does have the occasional accident inside but he is mostly potty trained.  He is staying inside at his foster home and when they are gone he is crated and he is fine with that.  Harley loves to ride in the car and is a tad curious, but respectful about cats and he is great with other dogs.  This boy is grateful for everything you give him these days.   Toys, playtime with others and just the loving words and kind pats from his foster mom makes his day.  If you are interested in giving Harley a happy ending to many, many years left in his life, please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
Princess Kelly was found hit by a car and rescued by a good samaritan. She didn't have any broken bones, but had torn ligaments in one of her hind legs. She has been given time to heal, but she still limps some. It doesn't keep her from going on short walks and enjoying the outdoors. She is a sweet, sweet girl that is estimated to be around 7 or 8 years old. The vet also found an old jaw injury, but it doesn't prevent her from eating or enjoying the many donated treats we give her. We believe she is a lab mix, weighs around 45 lbs. She is completely vetted and is looking for her forever home. Kelly can be picky about her doggie friends, but she seems ok around cats, and she is ok around strangers and kids. She loves attention, loves to be petted and loves a good conversation. Kelly is not a big barker, she only barks when there a noise.  HHS.  Contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
When you name a dog Princess you would think that maybe the dog was going to have the chance to lead a charmed life, right?  Well this Lab mix girl has not been leading a fairy tale life in the past (she was outdoor fulltime in a kennel with another dog who was not nice to her) and she found herself in a shelter and hours away from being euthanized. Her current foster mom contacted Critter Cavalry Rescue and asked if she could pull this girl from the shelter and save her life with CCR rescue’s support to find her a wonderful home.  We are looking for a great family that has another dog as a companion.   Princess is a young Lab mix girl that has a calmness and warmth in her eyes and face that makes you realize that there is a depth to her that makes you want to reassure her that she will never have to worry about being loved unconditionally. She is what you call a “Velcro Dog” and will follow you everywhere in the house.  She loves to play with other dogs and she adores toys with squeakers that make all the noises that makes a dog happy.  This girl is showing us more and more every day just what a wonderful, loving girl she can be.  She is housebroken and has wonderful couch potato dog skills. This two year old girl is 45 pounds and just grateful to have a home life inside with a dog bed to call her own.  She is crate trained but prefers to NOT be in a crate if she can help it.  She is good with other dogs, cats and even sweet little babies.  She is a calm demeanor and yet playful, delighting in tug of war with other dogs or fetching a ball that her foster mom throws for her.  Her puppylike delight in playing is blossoming every day and is so sweet to watch.  A fenced yard to run with full abandon would be heaven for her and we do ask for that to be in her future.  If you would like to consider making this girl your forever Princess please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Spike is one big ole love bug. His looks and size might be intimidating but do not be fooled. He is one big love muffin. He adores being loved on. When you pet him he just melts. Spike is probably around 3 years old with the weight of 85 lbs. We believe he is a Lab/Shepherd mix. He gets along with most dogs but can be a bit picky with other male dogs. Apparently Spike broke his elbow and it wasn’t properly taken care of before he came to us. . He does walk with a limp but believe me it doesn’t slow him down.  He loves to play with toys. Spike can be a food and toy sheriff at times which calls for caution around other dogs. Poor baby is scared of thunderstorms. As long as he is in the house during storms he is ok.  He also thinks he is a lap dog and at times will try to prove that fact. He loves car rides. If he thinks he is going for a ride he will beat you to the car and wait. He is crate trained. We are working on housetraining. He does need improving on the leash walking, he is a puller.       Spike did test positive for heartworms. He had the treatment on 2/9 and is doing great. He will need to be rechecked 8/9.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Gramps is the name you give a dog that has earned a few years in his life.   The affectionate name you award a loving soul that has a look about him of wisdom and road years on his soul.  This dog is like most older guys can be; lovable but grumpy and set in their ways.   This boy is a Golden Retriever that is about 12-13 years old, has some hearing loss and can’t see as good anymore either….but blind or deaf, but challenged to know when someone is coming up from behind him.  He has that old man extra weight and those wise and beautiful grey whiskers  on his face and muzzle.   Gramps has a welcoming smile but is shy at first with new people.  He is a lover and cuddler with those he knows, but don’t expect him to be the new best friend when first meeting new people.  He has to size you up first. He can be a little snippy about certain fast approaches or coming up from behind and him and not knowing you are there. He is great with other dogs, cats and he loves a good long car ride and does well on a leash.  He is just not Mr. Personality with new people.  He does warm in a few days and then is your friend for life.  If you want this old soul to help through his Golden Years please step forward and give him your heart and your front porch to sit and ponder life and the niceties of the twilight years.  He is healthy as a senior can be….bloodwork done, extensive vet visits and check ups and heartworm negative and neutered.   He is ready for a new start in his life and we know there is one out there for him.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
