Story
Mac’s dad passed away in August and I took him to foster him shortly after that. He gets along splendidly with my family and we planned to keep him. However, last night he ‘nipped’ or made a biting motion toward my 85yr old mother-in-law. He has done that a few other times with new people. He hasn’t actually ‘bitten’ anyone, but this nipping is unsettling to the person he’s nipping at AND to me. He’s SO SWEET 99% of the time, but that uncertainty due to nipping at new people is, for me, a deal-breaker :(

Story
Sonata (Nat) is a 2 year old lab and pitt mix.  She is about 55 lbs and is a very happy girl.  Sonata is a young, playful go-getter. She loves to jump and run and would do best with a fenced back yard. She greets everyone exuberantly and is working on her leash manners. She loves to soak up attention from her people, but can also entertain herself with toys and chews when you are busy.  She is potty and house trained.  She is good with cats and older children.  She has lived with other dogs in the past, but we think she needs to be the only dog in her forever home. Sonata's adoption fee is $300. Meet and greets will happily be arranged for approved adopters...please visit rescuedohio.org to apply. ##181491##

Story
Diesel is an adult, large lab mix who has been with us for a couple years now.  Prior to that, he was at the Franklin County Dog Shelter, so we are eagerly waiting for him to find his forever home!  He enjoys the typical dog things...playing, eating new foods, and giving humans attention.  His foster dad is one of his best friends and many of our volunteers love him.  He is super fast so he would love his forever home have a fenced yard so he can practice his running and fetching skills. Diesel gets shy around new people and really energetic in new environments, but these are things he's working on and would love if you could help him out.  Because he has made such great friends with all of the humans at RescuedOhio, he tends to prefer humans over other dogs and pets, and would need to be the only dog in the household. It's tough to understand sometimes, but we all have had experiences we've dealt with in the past that make us who we are today. Diesel’s adoption fee is $300. Meet and greets will happily be arranged for approved adopters. To fill out an application, please visit rescuedohio.org. ##107704##

Story
Melinda May is fostered in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to move north for a good loving forever home. Melinda May and her sister were dumped in a small rural community. They wandered up to a house where some nice people lived and those people brought them to us. Melinda May looks like a black lab/boxer mix and we guess she is now around a year of age She weighs around 50 pounds and is mostly black with white on her chest a a bit of brindle under her neck. She has the wonderful short, soft boxer muzzle. Melinda May is very friendly, outgoing, sweet, and playful. She loves playing with toys and other dogs, and loves being in the house with the air conditioning. She is fairly low energy and likes to lay splayed on the floor with her back legs stretched out so her belly is on the cool floor. Melinda May knows her name (we call her Melinda) and will sit for treats. She is crate trained and pretty good with house training as long as you make sure she goes potty when she is outside before you let her back in. Melinda is well behaved in the house and we have had no issues on the few occasions we forgot to put her in a crate before we left on errands. Melinda May is still young and could use more training and socialization. We want Melinda May to be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a secure fenced yard to run and play. Melinda May is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and on heartworm and flea prevention. Melinda May has a$450.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Zanesville Ohio. She will not be sent north until after she is adopted. Please contact 2 Many Dogs Rescue for an adoption application if you are interested in adopting this sweet girl. Story
Ferris is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so he is willing to move north for a good loving forever home. Ferris was saved by our vet who refused to put him down because he was such a great dog. Ferris is a Labrador retriever/American Bulldog/boxer mix. He has been waiting for a furever home for over a year. Ferris is now just over 2 years old and weighs maybe 60 pounds. (He is overweight and needs to loose some). Ferris is mostly black, with white on his chest, toes and tail and a small amount of brindle on his legs. Ferris is unique in that he has a split nose, a characteristics that is found in 3 rare dog breeds. He may have a bit of one of these rare breeds in his DNA. Ferris is very well behaved in the house. He is crate trained and house trained, He know how to sit but could still use more obedience training. Ferris is outgoing, very sweet, and loves people. He is active and energetic. He loves toys and plays nicely with other dogs. Ferris must be allowed in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash. Ferris needs exercise and would like a secure fenced yard to run and play. Ferris is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, negative for heartworms, and on heartworm and flea preventative. Ferris has a $450.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Zanesville Ohio. He will not go north until after he is adopted.
