Story
Meet Romeo! Romeo is a handsome 1 and 1/2 year old lab mix. He is a big boy weighing in at around 62 pounds and has energy to spare. Romeo seems to still have the mindset of a puppy and would benefit from being taught some basic manners. He is said to be house trained, but a crate training refresher once he gets home would be a good idea. We're unsure how well he plays with canine friends, so a meet and greet with the resident dog is recommended. Romeo is always happy to see his people and adores the attention from visitors! If you're looking for an adventure buddy or a plus-one for life, stop in and meet Romeo! Most of our dogs are currently in shelter - but some are in foster homes. If you would like to see a specific dog, feel free to contact us to see if they are in shelter or in foster care! Dogs in shelter are available to visit or adopt daily. IF a dog is in a foster home, they come in on Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Arrangements can be made to have specific dogs brought in during the week- just give us a call or email to see if the dog you are interested in is in a foster home and set up a meeting time if necessary. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $150 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $200 + tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid. Adoptions will stop a half hour before we close, at 5:30pm M-F and 3:30pm Saturday.

Story
I’m a good boy that likes to play hard and snuggle even harder! I am very loyal and whine a little when my people aren’t nearby. I’m working on my manners and have come a long way with commands, I listen really well, especially if you have treats. I LOVE treats! I used to do some hunting before I came to rescue so I have a high prey drive with small animals. I would be a great companion to someone who has the time and patience to continue to work with me on learning commands and someone who understands that I prefer to be home with my people instead of out and about meeting new dogs or humans.
