Hi, I’m Kaylee! I’m 1 year old and I am a black/white lab mix. I LOVE to play, I love to eat, & I love my people. My owners adopted me when I was just 8 weeks old. I was the runt, so I am a little shorter than most labs. I get anxious when I see people & creatures that I don’t know. I bark at first, but once I get to know them, I become their best friend. I like other dogs as long as I am in an open space when I meet them so I have the freedom to move away if I need some space. But, once I get to know them, we will be best friends! I am a loyal dog and I love to please. I am 100% house, leash, & crate trained, plus I know how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, & come. I am not always perfect at these b/c I get distracted, but if you remind me I will obey! I need a new home b/c my owners do not have a yard for me to run in. When my energy gets pent up, I get anxious & harder to control. Their living situation just isn’t ideal for me, so they want to find me a place where I’ll be happy!

Story

We adopted Cali from the animal shelter in December 2015 and she has been a part of our family ever since. She is kind, gentle and very loving. She is wonderful with children and she just wants to be loved and snuggled. She has been greatly loved by our family. However, as an empty nester, I have downsized our home and no longer have the space or yard Cali needs. She is kennel trained, has never chewed on anything other than her toys/rawhides and does go potty inside. She loves to be outdoors and around people. However, she does not initially interact well with other dogs. She feels the need to express her dominance when interacting with other dogs. Once the relationship is established, she does very well with the dog. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay and lay down. She is a true treasure with a wonderful disposition and she will be MISSED!

Jerky and bacon are his favorite. Honestly he will eat anything edible. Unfortunately I am moving closer to my job and the apartment complex does not allow his breed. I also do not have time to take care of a dog with this new job I have. I just want him to go to a new loving home so he can be happy.

If you’re looking for a pal for life, who will always be by your side, Buddy is the dog for you! Buddy is a loving and sweet boy, who loves cuddling on the couch, chasing tennis balls, treats, and playing frisbee! He is very athletic, and LOVES to run and play with his human outside, and likes to be cuddler and a couch-potato indoors. He is very smart and knows how to “sit,” “come,” “go,” and “lie down.” He is currently on this site, because I (his current foster mom) can no longer give him the time he deserves. I had to change jobs and am now working very long hours, and while I’m so sad to see him go I know that he deserves someone who can give him time and love and attention. Right now I’m working 12+ hours a day, and we had to move into an apartment, so poor Buddy is bored and lonely and cramped. He needs a loving person or family with a yard or who can take him on walks. He is kid and small dog friendly (not sure on big dogs or cats) and ready to love you forever!
