Story
Hi everyone. After an emotional couple of days and after speaking with our vet, we are making the very, very heartbreaking decision to rehome our Kaia. She cannot get along with our other dog anymore, and I cannot have them fighting. It is not fair to either dog. Ideally, she would be in a home where she is the only dog, and there are no young children. *I should stress she has never been aggressive towards children, but she can be stranger aggressive.* We do not want to bring her to a shelter, . She is the sweetest, most loving dog once she gets to know you. Kaia turned 3 on December 24th.

Story
Bacardi is an adult Labrador retriever mix born around March 2004. He has a short brown coat with a reddish tint. He weighs around 50 pounds and has a moderate activity level. He is housebroken, crate trained and leash trained. He is good with dogs and cats. He is a sweet boy and enjoys going for walks and playing with his friends. Bacardi is shy at first and would do best in a home with children over the age of 12. Young children often make sudden and unpredictable movements that can startle this sweet boy. Bacardi would prefer a home with few visitors. Bacardi is a total water dog, and he would make a great swimming buddy at the lake. If interested in adopting Bacardi please fill out our application form at www.lifelongfriends.org/adoptions. Please note we only adopt in Texas and all family members must meet Bacardi prior to approval.

Story
We got Baxter when he was 7 weeks old from a friend who lives near San Antonio. He was one of 11 puppies who were born outside to parents who were stray mixed breeds. All we were told is that there is lab in him and the rest is a mystery. He’s been to all of his vet appointments and is up to date on his shots including his rabies vaccine but he hasn’t had a heartworm prevention pill since November. He is extremely big and strong and isn’t trained well due to us not having the time to train him properly. He is house trained but won’t walk on a leash well and is very rowdy and has shown he likes to chew everything in sight up. He sleeps in a x-large crate but has destroyed every bed and blanket we have given him. As he’s gotten bigger he has become too much for us and we know we can’t provide him the care he needs anymore. We’re hoping he can find a home that is willing and able to train him and provide him with his heart worm prevention pills and daily walks.

Story
These brothers were rescued from a rough situation on January 5th where they were kept in an outdoor pen all day and night with little to no attention. Despite this, the dogs are both extremely sweet and friendly. They both do well sleeping in a crate and are healthy as far as I can tell. They have great dispositions and are pretty laid back. I have explored the Austin Animal Center and Austin Humane Society, but they both have wait times of several weeks for an appointment to surrender them. Unfortunately I’m leaving on a trip on Friday of this week and can’t board them because they don’t have their shots and are unaltered. These guys have been through a lot and deserve a good home, hopefully even together ideally.
