Story
Cooper is about 1 1/2 years old and 65 lbs. He is a very sweet natured, happy boy. Cooper wants everyone to love him and tries very hard to please. He is house and crate trained, sits, does down off and stop. Cooper loves hiking and walking, playing with toys and attention! Cooper is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio.  The adoption fee is $150.00.   An adoption application, home visit and adoption contract are all required.  All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites.  If you would like more information or an adoption application, please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Story
Meet Buck!  Buck is estimated to be about 1 1/2 yrs old with some rough times behind him- obvious from his embedded collar injury and the possible burn scar on his rear leg.  Our best guess at breed is a Lab/Hound mix.  Buck is 60 lbs of happy energy and he gets along well with other dogs and is potty trained and crate trained.  Buck loves to meet new people!  His enthusiasm leads him to jump up to greet people so we are working on manners.  He would be perfect for an active person and would be a great running partner!  He is a very smart dog so he needs to keep his mind stimulated.  He has already learned sit and down and we are working on roll over.  He is easily motivated so additional training or training classes would be perfect for him!  He needs a secure fence and supervision while outside.  Because he is a big puppy he would do best in a home with no small kids and other medium to large dogs.  While he is good with other dogs he does bark when on a leash at unfamiliar dogs which can sound a little intimidating, but he is just so excited and wants to play.  He has a goofy personality.  His favorite snack is bananas and he likes to play in the bathtub! Buck is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. Story
If you are looking for a handsome, loyal and active companion, RYDER is your boy!  As an added bonus, he perform circus tricks!!  RYDER is very devoted and wants to be with you and will follow you wherever you go, even room to room.  Ryder loves being near people and other dogs. He tries hard to please and enjoys learning.  Ryder is  a wonderful happy dog and he will be  a n outstanding dog making countless friends along the way.  However, leaving him in an apartment or backyard all day in not enough exercise or enrichment at his early age.  Ryder needs a job to do (such as a dog sport) that will engage his mind along with a full body workout (visit AKC.org to learn more about dog sports).   He needs daily mental and physical stimulation or his energy level will rise substantially.  He will require at least an hour a day of combined walks and training or dog sports. To keep Ryder busy while waiting for his forever home, he is currently enrolled in a Street Dog Rehab Program and has had a month of professional board and train covering basic  manners, beginning  agility and freestyle tricks, and CGC test items.  His next step would be to earn  a n AKC "Canine Good Citizen" award.   Some of the tricks and skills Ryder has been working on are: spins, sit pretty, down, sit, paws up, step up, tugging, retrieving, flying disk, figure 8’s, leg weaves, barrel rolling, skateboard riding, nose work, jumping, bow, paw touch, targeting, drills on platform, waits at doors for permission, and water hose chase game.  He has been trained to sit on small elevated platforms or use a small throw rug. He can go up and down steep ramps for loading in vehicles or agility dog walk.  RYDER LOVES water and his favorite toys are: Tugs, antler chews, bumpers, balls, any squeak toy , cardboard containers, boxes, plastic water bottles in a thick sock, and wood sticks .   Ryder is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio.
