Layla is a great pet. She was adopted from the pound and has lived with me for about a year. As a double major college student, I am not able to give her the attention she needs. Layla Has been an inside dog since I got her. She lives to fetch and walks well on a leash. I will be moving into a pet free apartment in a few months and will not be able to keep her.

Story
I adopted Lily from Apex Detection. They breed and train dogs to detect for rodents, chemicals, drugs, etc. Lily could no longer do an effective job for them, so she was put up for adoption. I had her spayed, microchipped, and had lab work to check for any type of diseases. She was given a clean bill of health by the vet. She is small for her breed, 45 pounds or so. She is a very sweet dog. She loves to play fetch. She is crate trained. I adopted her because I wanted a companion for my dog. I didn’t realized the extra work it required to House two dogs. I have health issues that have increased because of the added stress. Both dogs get along well except for a bit of competition and jealousy from both dogs. I would like to find a family that is looking for a sweet dog that is great with people. Thank you.

Story
Meet Jolina JuM You wanna sing the song, don't you? You know the one, Jolene by Dolly Pawton. Everyone sings it when they hear my name is Jolina, but it's totally a diffurent name. Do I look shy in my photos? I do. It's becuz I am a shy girl. I am quiet and timid, but wayyyyyyyyy sweet one you get to know me and especially especially if you carry yummy nibblets in your hand. Owning a dog that is shy in social situations is actually a real treat for humans that who has verts that are the intro kind. You don't have to take me out and about. I won't put my nose all up in stranger's crotches and embarrass you. We can just stay in and watch any vampire or zombie series on television. I am scared of humans not zombies. Zombies aren't real. Wait. Are they? Should I be scared of them? How 'bout we just watch reruns of Golden Girls or Friends instead? I won't take up too much room on the couch, I am only 40 pounds at 3 - 4 years old. They say I am black Lab mixed with Catahoula or a smaller breed like Blue Lacey. I was found living on my own with my friend Rhiannon. When I am with my doggie friends, I wag my tail 65 wpm (wags per minute). I love my doggie friends. At my potential adopter house, I would refurmend no loud children. I am NOT nippy or snippy, just scared. I would never be mean to children, but their loud rowdy yells would scare me under the table. I do hope my potential home has a buddy dog. I feel much more confident about new things when I can follow the lead of a buddy dog. Lots of the God's Dogs Rescue doggies get on a big van every 2 weeks and head to out of state homes. But that makes me feel very scared and worried. I will walk on a leash if you are patient and if we are in a quiet spot, but I think being leashed for potty breaks on a travel trip would be scary. I want a local home, near San Antonio, Texas, where I don't have to take a potty break on the way there. Are you looking for a cuddle couch canine? I know I will be a little bit of work and extra patience, but I am still worth the cuddles, aren't I? Basics: Jolina JuM GDR-A-3418- female, 3 years 6 months, 40 lbs, Labrador/Catahoula (or maybe Blue Lacey) mix, good with dogs, would love a buddy dog in her new home, shy in new situations, happy and fun and playful once she gets settled, sweet, quiet, gentle, black, local home only since she would be a little too scared for potty breaks on transport Local adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas)

Story
I need some help y'all...how do I explain to the little girl child that her Princess Elsa band aid is not gonna fix my boo boo. My boo boo needs a tad bit more doctoring than a well meaning kiddo can provide, although I appreciate her effort. I was rescued from the City of San Antonio shelter with an injury which has rendered my back legs useless...more about that later, but first I do wanna tell you why I am the BEST! My shelter name was Patty Jane, but my Foster Folks call me PJ Sparkles and you don't get Sparkles as a third name unless you fit the bill. I have a razzle dazzle sparkly personality equal to Katy Perry. You can practically hear Firework playing when I walk...or I should say roll into the room. You can call me PJ, because I am the cat's pajamas when it comes to dogs. Why do you suppose they use cat's pajamas to mean THE BEST? I think it should be dog's pajamas, hence forth. I am a female 60 pound 4-5 year old adult mixed breed doggie likely some Lab thrown in there amongst a few other breeds, one of which gave me the copper red color of a penny. I haven't met any cats yet, but there are dogs at my Foster Folks home and I get along with them just fine after I was slowly introduced and we even play in the backyard. Since I do have a big boo boo going on, I do prefer smaller dogs or big dogs with relaxed personalities. As afurmentioned there is a human kiddo in my foster home and I enjoy hanging with her. I also love the blankies she provides and the chin rubs. But I better get back to the elephant in the room, another human phrase I do not get, there are not actually any elephants here, I am refurring to my broken back and useless back legs. Right now it would be impawsible to potty train me as I am incontinent due to my injury but with physical therapy and time, I may regain control of my bidness. I am crate trained, but do have potty "accidents in there, due to my injury, so be prepared for some laundry. I am happy and would be wagging my entire hiney if I could to show my appreciation for being rescued out of the shelter. I am learning to adjust to life without use of my back legs and honestly, before the pound got me, I was doing pretty good draggin myself around. However, the rescue has gotten me a wheelie chair. It felt odd at first having this contraption attached to me, but the wheelie chair along with physical therapy could pawtentially allow me to walk and potty unassisted someday, so I am going to practice it hard! I have a long road to go, but I would love the oppawtunity to show you how I sparkle. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND $250.00 FOR PUPPIES. ( Local is in the state of Texas)! Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $500.00 for puppies. We transport all over the country!! All our dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dog's personality.

Story
Introducing Mama Theresa JuM The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That an ancient pawverb. Since the humans named me after Mother Theresa, I am feeling it necessary to have my bio start with a teachable moment. Possums are our friends. Repeat. Possums are our friends. Possums eat ticks. Humans and dogs hate ticks. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I am currently on antibioticks for a tick borne disease called Ehrlichia pronounced errrrlickya. Furthermore, the xray vision photos that Dr G took also revealed more evidents, dents in my past. Tadah you have an old injury on your front right leg and right hip. That explains the limp. No surgery required but I am taking some glucosamine in the hopes that it kinda just glues by bones back together. Obviously due to that Vet report I have not been living on easy street. I am a sweet loving 4 year old 50 pound Doberman Labrador mix. Dr G even threw out Greyhound as a guesstimutt due to my elegant snout and super lanky legs. Super model mutterial right here. But wait, there is more, I am a litteral Mother and not in the way of Mother Theresa or Mother Nature. I actually was rescued from Laredo, Texas, along with a brood of 5 gorgeous babies. Unlike my puppies, I am crate trained and good on leash. I am good around other dogs and humans. In fact, I ADORE humans. I would prefer a home that does not have rowdy playful dogs because I am not too active due to my gimpy legs. I would enjoy a home with a place to relax and an evening stroll with my human or canine pal. My puppies are now weaned due to their shark teefers. They can eat the hard kibble. I am ready to start my own life. A better life than the one I existed in prior to rescue. My tick disease will clear up with the antibioticks, but my limp shall remain. I am hoping that you and I can make new memories to replace my first 4 years of things that I would rather forget. Cliff's Notes: Mama Theresa JuM- sweet loving female 4yr black Lab/Doberman/Greyhound mix, 50 lbs, did test positive for Ehrilichia and is receiving treatment, has a limp on the right side due to past injuries that do not require further treatment, good with dogs and humans, sweet, not too active due to gimpy legs Local adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas) Out of State adoption fee $400.00 with transport out of Texas
