Story
Rain is a 3 year old spayed Lab mix. She came to the shelter from a bad living situation along with multiple other dogs. Rain was kept outside unsocialized for most of her life. She did not acclimate to shelter life well and is currently in a foster waiting for the perfect home. Rain likes to play with other dogs but she would be best as an only animal in the home. She gets attached to the human and will bully and snap at the other dog(s) in the home. She has very bad anxiety in new situations and was on medication for it but it is no longer needed currently. However in a new home she may be best on it again until she is comfortable enough. She is very sweet and affectionate once she gets to know you. If you are interested please contact us and we will be in touch with her foster to set up a meet and greet. Interested in adopting? Story
Clementine is a 2-3 year old mixed breed that came to us as a stray on 1/09/2020. She is an energetic girl who loves to give kisses. She has had a few seizures since arriving to the shelter. The vet did blood work and nothing irregular came back so we are unsure why she is having them. Since she came in as a stray we have no idea her medical background and can not guarantee it will not continue to happen. She will need to be an only pet. She has a bite record.Interested in adopting? Story
Molly is a 2 year old mixed breed dog. We think that she may have Whippet and some sort of Terrier or Lab in her mix. She only weighs 27 lbs. She was rescued in a rural town in Tennessee, with her four pups. She is doing great in her foster home, but now her pups are weaned and she is looking for her forever home. She does well with other dogs and is in a home where kids visit. Will you be her forever home? Right now, she is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring her to their new family, once they are adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos She is spayed and UTD on all required vaccinations. She is microchipped and on flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. Story
MYA is so sweet she makes sugar cry. She’s the sweetest girl and loves to play. Age: 3 years young Breed: Labrador retriever mix Size:about 45-55 Mya was a dump off stray that was brought to us in pretty horrible shape. She was starved and skin and bone and she had a large mass on her nose. We fattened her up and got her spayed and vetted. When she was all healed up we went back to get her lump removed. It turned out to likely be a a Mast Cell Tumor which is sadly pretty common in dogs. Our vet believes he removed all of it and it was not embedded in bone so it’s looking very promising for this girls future. She does get along with other dogs. She tends to exhibit a bit of dominance but will stand down when corrected. She tends to play momma hen and correct those that are misbehaving or acting overly excited. We correct this to let her know she doesn’t have to do that and that we will take care of that. She is also House trained, potty trained, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and Microchipped. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to this sugar pie write to: petpathorg@yahoo.com with any questions or fill out an application on our site. Here is the direct link to our application https://www.petpath.org/our-adoption-application/ This cutie is located in East Tennessee and will be transported to your area by Rescue Riders llc, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
My roommate and I adopted Baker in August of 2018 from someone who rescued him from a kill shelter in Alabama. We believe he is about 1.25 years old. He is an extraordinarily energetic pup but he also really loves to snuggle up for some down time. Baker can be quite territorial in the home with strangers he has not met before. As college students we lived in a house with 7 people total, so there were a lot of strangers in and out of the house and it was difficult to always be able to introduce Baker to people in a controlled setting. We are looking for someone who has experience with pit bulls or territorial dogs. We are unable to keep Baker because of our financial situation - we can not afford training or vet, food, and rental costs. Baker needs a loving home and PLEASE reach out to us!

Story
Winter's coming; please get this sweet dog off the chain! His owner is willing to let him go, but I am unable to foster or adopt him myslef. I know the family. They are caring nice people, but of a different culture when it comes to dogs. I can communicate any questions you have. The children love him, but he "runs off" after squirrels when he is let off the chain so he has been tied up for several months. He is maybe two years old. He is super sweet even on the chain. Per the owner he has been vaccinated, but his records are not obtainable. He is neutered.
