Story
Lucy was rescued from the Carlsbad Shelter after being found in the middle of a busy street. She spent 2 weeks at the shelter, a plea went out to several other local rescues, but no one came to get her by the deadline. Rovers Retreat was made aware of her and rescued her. She is reported to be 12 years old (foster and pet sitter thinks she acts younger than 12 years). She was spayed and had a few tumors removed before her foster was able to pick her up at the shelter. She will be getting some dental work done before she goes to a furever home. Lucy is very sweet and is always super excited to see people. She gets along well with other dogs, even snoozes in a dog bed with her foster brother. She will cuddle up next to her foster mom on the couch. She is working on her potty training skills. She would be a great companion for someone who works from home or is retired.

Story
This is Athena! Athena is 8 years old and weighs 12 lbs.  She was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society due to the poor health of her owner.  This girl was in rough shape then, but now she's healthier, has a new haircut, and is ready to go! And now Athena is on a two week Frosted Fling. Here's her first update: "Day 1: all the naps Day 2: starting to explore the apartment, went on a walk and she is very gentle on the leash, still haven't heard her bark yet, follows me to the kitchen whenever she thinks there might be food, likes playing with toys and more naps, also learned she knows "sit" and "shake" The first day she stayed in her own space mostly and only cuddled while we slept, today she still keeps her space half the time but is getting more comfortable and even asking for pets by tapping with her paw." Apply to become sweet Athena's forever family:  www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/apply No adoption fees and we help with medical costs! Rosie is an extremely chill dog, if only she is the ONLY dog. She pretty much lays on the couch or finds a cool spot in the shade all day. She's crate trained and house trained. She'd make a great companion dog. Her personality is pretty much the most chill and relaxed dog you'd ever meet. Rosie is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines.  Her adoption fee is $200 which helps the rescue cover medical expenses and supplies.  If you'd like to meet sweet Rosie please fill out an adoption application out today at www.secondchancedogrescue.org.  *Rosie came to us with mature cataracts that developed into Glaucoma in her right eye. Story
Hello People, My name is Little Lulu and Mom says I’m a very sweet and delightful bichon girl of about nine. She says I am nine pounds of love and adorableness- a little girl with a darling face and even more beauty inside! When I came to Mom’s house, it wasn’t long before she fell in love. I taught her how snuggle and cuddle. (That’s what I do best!) Then I taught her how to sleep on the back of the couch and to come when called (Oh silly me – that’s what I do!) Mom taught me to appreciate the value of a good belly rub –and that’s a very good thing! I have a doggy foster sister to lay with – and while I enjoy her company my primary focus is on Mom. She says that I’m always happy and a bright spot in her life. While I can be a bit shy when I first get to know you I quickly warm up and haven’t found anyone I don’t like – except the yardman. (Sorry but I just don’t like all the noise he makes!) Mom says I am really cute, sweet as sugar and as ‘big as a minute’. Then she says I’m a little cuddle bunny. Silly Mom! I’m not a bunny at all: I’m a furkid! I’m eager to please, smart and easy to live with – and there’s always a smile on my face. Mom says I’m adorable, cute and a very special little girl! Besides being special in all the ways I’ve been described, I’m also special in one other way. I have these special teeny tiny pills that I have to take every day so that I won’t have this thing called a seizure. Now I haven’t had one in quite a while since I now have my pills – and we hope I will not have any again. (That’s why I’m so glad I have my medicine.) If you didn’t know I had ever had one you certainly couldn’t tell – I’m just as cuddly and happy as a little girl can be. My Ideal Home: *Someone home most of the time *Adults only *Another small furkid is fine but not required Experience level: *Have had dogs as an adult *Recent/current dog experience a plus *Experience with medical issues a plus! Mom knows that there is a special family looking for a sweet and loving little girl like me and who will be able to be with me most of the time. If that sounds like you, please ask for Lulu– and I will be waiting. Tail wags and bichon kisses, Lovely and Loveable Lulu

Story
Hello World, My name is Hobie and I’m a darling, handsome and happy little bichon boy of four (and almost 13 pounds soaking wet) who smiles (yes I do!) and talks with my eyes! (Mom says I’m very communicative!) Dad says I’m a little love – and that, in turn, I love everyone! I love short people and tall people, the ones called ‘teenagers’ and those called ‘adults’ and I love other furkids, too! I simply love and adore everyone — and I’m extremely loveable. Dad says I’m also very playful. You see I have these stuffed animals…. I like to chew on them and play tug-of-war – and I like to play chase! And be chased! Sometimes I even run around pretending someone is chasing me when they’re not. Dad says that I’m ‘exercising;’ I say I’m just having fun! Mom says she loves the way I lay quietly and contentedly next to her while she works on her computer or stops to read a book. She says I’m a major cuddler who is a little goofy, sweet, loyal, fun, a little silly and very smart. I’m housebroken, love to walk and ride in the car, am learning commands and want to please! It doesn’t seem possible but just a few weeks ago I lost my family and my home. They weren’t able to care for me properly. I was living outside (imagine that!) and not been groomed in a long time (as you can see from my picture.) But I’m a resilient little guy who is amazingly adaptable and filled with only love. Dad says I’m just waiting for a family who will love me as much, and as unconditionally, as I will love them! My Ideal Home: *Someone home most of the time *A family with teenagers would be amazing! *Another young active furkid to play with * An active lifestyle Experience level: *Have had pups as an adult Mom says that I would love to have at least one doggy brother or sister in my forever home. She says to tell you I’m as handsome as I am gentle… and as mellow as I am cuddly. While I seem to have it all, the one thing that I’m missing is my very own forever family who will love me and care for me always. If that sounds like you please complete our adoption application and ask for me by name. Tail wags and cuddles, Handsome and Huggable Hobie
