**Franklyn is currently living in a foster home. Please email foster@greatplainsspca.org if you are interested in meeting Franklyn or have questions.**Franklyn is a very sweet&#44 older guy looking for a calm&#44 loving and understanding family.Franklyn came to us as a stray at the beginning of March&#44 and not in the best shape. Our vet team has been hard at work helping him. He has dermatitis/skin allergies and is in stage 2 chronic renal failure (kidney disease). He also needed a dental procedure but due to his age and condition our vets are electing to forego that so we dont have to put him under anesthesia.Franklyn is up for adoption as a "hospice" candidate. This means he has a reduced adoption fee because of his medical issues. However&#44 just because Franklyn isnt 100% healthy doesnt mean he deserves to find a loving&#44 furever home any less!Our vets are recommending Franklyn be fed a specific food to help manage his kidney failure. He is currently being fed Science Diet K/D. He was also started on a medication to help with his skin allergies. This would be a lifetime medication.We are hoping there is a nice&#44 quiet&#44 loving home out there for mister Franklyn! His foster family absolutely adores him and is happy to answer any questions potential adopters have about him.If you have questions about Franklyn or would like to meet him please email: foster@greatplainsspca.org
