Story
Charlotte is a senior lhasa apso mix. She’s approximately 9.5 years old and is looking for a family that will have patience as she learns to trust and be comfortable in their home. She has been with her foster family for several weeks and is feeling at home with them. They have a young, active dog that Charlotte gets along with but doesn’t play with yet. She does well with children 8 years and older that understand that she doesn’t play or like to be picked up but that may change with time as she learns to be comfortable with them. However she does like to snuggle and be petted and will jump up in laps. She sleeps in her crate at night and likes to nap there during the day, She is house broken and her fosters are comfortable with leaving her loose in the house when they are away for short periods of time, Charlotte is currently being treated for an eye condition that may require continued medical attention. Any interested adopters should be experienced dog owners and consider a foster to adopt arrangement. Are you interested in adopting Charlotte or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to help@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center). We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application for Charlotte. Thanks for thinking adoption!

Story
Teddy was born about 2-14-2017.   He weighs about 10 pounds.  He was terribly matted when found, but he looks much better now that he has been clipped.  He hasn't had much to smile about in his life so he's a very serious little man.  He would not do well around children as he might bite when frightened.  He needs an experienced, patient, and loving owner who will take the time to show him that there are things in this world to be happy about.     He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested heartworm negative.     More photos at:    https://photos.app.goo.gl/buLsJ3addirLUc4Q9       If you are interested in Teddy, please fill out an application at www.tysorvet.net   under Adoption Applications.
