Story
Petfinder update suggestion for Sapphire. My name is Sapphire, but Demon Dawn might work too. I'm cute. Adorable. Healthy, spayed, shots, HW negative. I do have an unexplained occasional cough. I'm also a criminal mastermind and don't really like very many people very much. I wasn't taken care of by my first family and, let's be frank, I'm damaged goods. If, however, you choose to accept this assignment, you'll embark on a quest to bring me back from the dark side. I'll need a home with other dogs. I'd hate you to go six months without having soft, luxurious fur to pet and someone on your lap. You might get to pet me, but then again maybe not. You'll also need a yard because I'm very active and will allow you to watch me run and play. Sometime this summer, I might decide to play with you. I'll make that decision on a case by case basis. And gloves. You'll need them. Eventually I'll choose one person to love (unless you want me to do something I don't particularly think is in my best interest.). I'll bite you, your friends, the nice lady from next door because I decide who touches me. Usually in a fraction on a second. There's never been blood or stitches. I'm just communicating. Perhaps you can teach me another way? I'm never going to be the floof lap dog I look like. I'm sorry, but it's a long shot. I'll be grateful for a home with quiet, dog savvy people, consistency and patience. Am I worth the time, frustration, sweat and tears? I'll leave that to a human with a particular set of skills to decide. Gotta go! I need to kill the white truck that just turned into the driveway. Sapphire came to us a matted, filthy, mess from the Pasadena TX shelter. She is about 2-3 years old and had never been groomed or probably bathed in her life. She is Leary of new people but comes around quickly once she knows you won't hurt her. She is about 17-18 pounds and good with other dogs. She is not recommended for children. Adoption Fee: $200 + sales tax. Which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations & microchip.
