About Buddy AGE-8 years old Energy level- Low to Medium Medical history-Healthy. My name is Benji and I am looking for a long term relationship with a loving human. I am a single, spotted (black and white), male, Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso mix. They tell me I am ten years old.  I am Totally house-trained and I love being pet, scratched behind the ears, slow walks, and lying in the grass enjoying the sunshine. I am not a picky eater and I know the commands “sit” and “come”. I am fine with cats and rabbits but I am not thrilled with children…too grabby. In fact, let’s be real here for a minute…I have some special little quirks/pet peeves. I DO NOT like being groomed. My rescue friends can tell you all about how to get my hair cut. I don’t like being rushed on my walks or pulled on my leash. I am sure you can understand, as no one likes being rushed in the bathroom. As well, if I don’t like something, I will tell you.  That’s the Lhasa part of my personality coming out.  In rescue we call it “Lhasa Tude.” Ideally, it would be helpful for Benji’s new parents to have experience with the Lhasa Apso breed.  I know I will be a wonderful companion for someone cuz I have TONS of love to give. Story
I got from a shelter in August. he seemed very loving. although they said he was not good with children. I had him groomed two times. the first was good. the second time they kicked him up in several placed. now he wants to rub his hinny on things. an now he will not let you brush him or groom him. and now he has a tends to bite. even me. I am blood thinners so I can not have this. so I do not know if he can be rebilitabed or not. And I do not know if he did this before. if he did they were not suppose to sell him and I do not know anything about his life before I got him. He was 8 years July 2019.I also had to move in with my Daughter an Family they have 2 large dogs which he does not get along with they also have 5 cats which he does not get along with. I do not know if you can find someone to take him or if we should just have him put down. Please let me know what I should do.
