Bella is a super sweet, happy, senior gal. She is estimated to be 10-12 yrs old and weighs ~11 lbs. Bella is potty trained. She is fine with similar size/energy level dogs in her foster home. Nervous around bigger, energetic dogs. She has good leash manners and gets excited when she sees her harness. Bella loves people and wants to be with her person all the time. She has a little separation anxiety and can be vocal when left alone. Bella will do best in a home where someone is with her most of the time. She has limited hearing and will need a fenced yard to be safe. Bella enjoys doing zoomies and chasing squirrels in the backyard. She also likes couch cuddles and watching TV.

Warning…this little Morkie will melt your heart! Macy is a Maltese Yorkie cross, 3 years old and 7lbs. This little diva will bond quickly to her new family and will want to be part of everyday family life. Macy is great with older children and other dogs, she comes potty, crate and dog door trained but she certainly prefers to roam free from the crate and can be trusted in the house. Macy loves her fury friends and NEEDS another dog companion to share cuddles and snuggles with. She simply loves to lay with dogs and be with dogs. But don’t worry, she has a lot of love to give. A fenced and secure yard is a must. All of our animals are fully vetted which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and microchipped) prior to adoption. This girl is Mitzy. She’s a tiny 6.5 year old Maltese (possible mix) who weighs 5.7 lbs. She was surrendered to a local shelter because her family could no longer care for her. Mitzy has some hair loss that’s from fleas and yeast. She has been to our vet and receiving treatment. She’s sweet with people and other animals. She’s a little timid. We have no idea how she is with children. The shelter is over capacity and with her being an owner surrender with health issues that puts her more at risk than others when hard decisions have to be made by the shelter staff. We need a plan NOW and need to get her out TODAY!! Please fill out the app below if you can help. She will be utd, vet checked, hw tested and spayed before placement. All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $100 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact Parkway Animal Hospital as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Story
Casper is a 12 year old senior Maltipoo who is very smart, loving, loves to cuddle, play and go for car rides. We got him as a young pup in 2008. He eats moist food ( PEAK by R.R.) mixed with kibble (CEASAR brand). He has had surgery on his right ear. Due to relocating to my elderly mother’s home in Northern Michigan, to help care for her, it is best if we rehome Casper with a loving, attentive person who can give him the attention he requires.
