  Zach is a beautiful, little boy, inside and out, who has been at the shelter for way too long. Sweet and friendly, Zach loves to be with people and cherishes every moment of attention he gets, especially hanging out in a nice lap. He also gets along well with other dogs.             Zach is a Maltese, about 10 years old, 11 pounds, and healthy. Don’t let his age deter you from meeting him. He is full of love and life, and just wants someone to share it with. He especially likes to go for walks, often trotting around like a pup, showing off his cute little wiggly walk, as you can see in the video at the end of the photos. Story
 Lulu Iris is a 9 year old, Shih Tzu girl, who has been given a new lease on life here at Shih Tzu Rescue. She arrived sad, lethargic, and very overweight. We quickly found she was suffering the effects of hypothyroidism and began treatment with medication (very inexpensive). She also receives eye drops for dry eye, but her vision is good. She takes both the medication and eye drops easily.             With the proper medication, diet, and exercise, Lulu Iris has made a remarkable turn for the better. She is now at a proper weight of 15 pounds and feels so much better overall. In addition to her usual sweet self, she is now bright, perky, and playful. She gets along well with other dogs, enjoys playing with toys and going for walks. Lulu Iris doesn’t ask for much, but her favorite thing is sitting in a comfy lap or getting her back scratched.             What a wonderful change we have witnessed so far...it’s almost as if she is smiling and saying thank you. But Lulu Iris’ journey has only just begun, as she awaits her forever home where she can continue her remarkable new path in life. Are you the one to give this wonderful girl that chance ?

Story
Tippy is a 10 year old 17 lb. Maltese mix. He’s a senior fella who loves to be the center of attention. He was shy at first, but once he warmed up, his sweet, silly, and sassy personality came out. He loves to spin in circles when he greets you and wants to be near you for back scratches. He is working on potty training and wears his belly band without any issues and is getting better each day. He must have been an outdoor dog and never knew any better. He loves meal times and is very vocal about it. He doesn’t have teeth, so he is on soft food. Once he knows you love him, he will be your best friend. His sweet, soulful eyes will melt your heart. He is housebroken but marks in new places. $150 Adoption fee includes vaccines, neuter, heartworm test, fecal exam, and microchip. For more info email info@savinggracefl.org. Delia Rose has never had a stable home and family, but this time we are determined it will be different for her. She is such a darling, sweet, and friendly girl. She loves people and gets along well with other dogs. Delia Rose adores a nice leash walk, being held, or cuddling on a lap. She is simply a delightful, easygoing girl to be with.         Delia Rose is about 7 years old and 12 pounds. Her white and tan coat is growing in nicely. She is a mix, probably mostly Maltese, with some Poodle or Cocker Spaniel. Delia Rose is a strong, healthy girl. She has a benign condition in her eyes called “cherry eye.”  It does not affect or vision or bother her, and no meds are needed. It can be easily corrected for cosmetic reasons. Delia Rose is so deserving of a stable, loving, forever home, and will make a terrific addition to the right family. Story
Daphne is a complete cuddlebug.  She is a 3 year old Maltese mix pulled from Broward County Animal Control.  Apparently high blood pressure caused bleeding in her eyes, and she has almost no vision at this point.  It is unclear how much, if any, vision she will regain.  Despite this she has adapted very well to her blindness, and is a happy, loving girl who loves walks, rides in cars, and a lap!!  Daphne is housebroken, in good health other than the hypertension and eye issues.  She is likely to need lifelong medication.  She gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids, and would make a great companion and snuggle buddy! DOB 2015 Adoption fee is $250 and includes DHPP & rabies vaccinations, heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance, deworming, and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian.
