Story
Adoption Fee:  $100.00   Roccoboy is a precious little fella who is 13 years old and weighs around 8lbs.  His family was no longer able to care for him which is why he came to SCMR. Roccoboy is a wonderfully sweet boy.  He has a collapsing trachea that we are monitoring, and he has luxating patellas in both knees.  We are giving him pain meds since he is not a candidate for surgery as his kneecaps are now frozen inward causing him to walk bowlegged.  He has lost all but 4 of his teeth but does well eating wet food and kibble that has been softened.  He also has environmental allergies, and we have learned that he is highly allergic to Febreze.  Any home adopting him will have to agree to not have that product in the home.  Febreze comes in candles, spray bottles, wall plug ins, and it is in Gain laundry detergent as well as liquid laundry softer.  It is also in kitchen garbage bags.  Febreze causes him to break out with skin sores which he scratches constantly when he has been exposed.  Roccoboy also has an enlarged heart, and while the veterinarian can only hear a slight murmur, his x-rays show his heart is very large.  We are monitoring him and may need to add heart meds to his daily routine. Roccoboy is partially house trained, being able to use pee pads most of the time.  He is not very willing to venture outside for any reason, preferring to stay inside.  He is not one to want to snuggle, preferring to use his doggie bed to nap for a lot of the day.   He is currently being fostered in Brunswick, GA Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. We thank you for whatever you can help us with. Any donation is appreciated and is tax deductible as we are a qualified non-profit 501(c)3 organization.    All our males are sent with BELLY BANDS!    for a one time Donation that goes direct to SCMR please go to our paypal link:

Story
Adoption Fee: $200.00 Simba is a 5 year old force of nature! We think he may be a mix, with what we're not sure, but with something cute!!  He has lots of energy so will need a home where he has a fenced yard and can run and play. He's 9 pounds of enthusiasm and likes to spin for fun!  Simba does NOT like cats, so no applicants with kitties, please. He is sweet and lovable until you try to make him do something he doesn't want to do, he will snap and possibly bite.  He will need an EXPERIENCED parent that will be able to work with him and understand his triggers.  When Simba gets excited, he likes to bark, so he needs a home where barking is no problem for neighbors, and it would be great if he could get some training for better manners. Mostly he likes to play with his toys and chase them around...not much of a cuddler...yet!  He's good on a leash, has been chipped and has been fully vetted. Mr. excitement is waiting in Largo, FL, for his forever family.   For potential applicants that are 68+, please read SCMR's policy for our Senior for Senior adoption program, that link is http://scmradoption.com/seniors.htm       Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Story
Adoption Fee: $75.00   Samson is a busy little fella that is 14 years old and weighs just 6 pounds.  His family was no longer able to take care of him so SCMR agreed to help.   He does bark for attention and is very loving. Samson just wants to be where he can see his person and be close to them. Sadly he has congestive heart failure and is on two heart medications that he will need to take for the rest of his life: Vetmedin and Enalapril.   Samson was a breed dog and has the number 184 tattoo in his left ear, likely for the breeder to keep track of his breeding history. He has cataracts and has some central vision loss but still has peripheral vision. Due to neglect, he has no teeth. Tooth decay probably contributed to his heart condition. He is also not neutered and has an undescended testicle. His heart condition makes surgery inadvisable.   Samson is being fostered in Chattanooga, TN for the time he has and is being loved and well cared for.  If there is anyone that would like to sponsor his medical care, please send a donation to SCMR. Thank you Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Story
Adoption Fee: $175.00   Zoey Grace is a very sweet little girl.  She is 12 years old and weighs 8.7 pounds.  She is a little overweight and needs to loose a bit, but she is working on getting her trim figure back.  She is an owner surrender that rescued her from a very difficult situation, her age is hard to determine because of the breeding situation she came from.   Zoey Grace is very shy and will need a family that will give her the time and patience for her to learn to trust.  She will run at the slightest noise, scared and cowering.  We don’t know what could have happened to her to cause her to feel so scared.   There are no cats in the home, so it is unknown if she will be okay around cats. She does not walk on a leash, she just hugs the ground, scared.   Zoey Grace is not house trained and is having trouble with the concept of pottying outside.  She will just stand outside and then come back inside and potty, but the foster home is trying to help her with this.   Because of how Zoey Grace is, SCMR prefers to have the adopter be a retired person that can be home with her to help her learn to trust and be around her new family.  Again, any family adopting her, will need to understand that Zoey Grace is very scared, and must be willing to give her the time to learn to trust.   She is safe and loved in her foster home in Gainesville, FL   Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Story
HELP NEEDED!!!!   DaisyLu is 13 years old and weighs about 10 pounds, she was surrendered by her owner that was no longer able to care for her.   After testing, it was discovered this sweet baby has inoperable cancer, so she will remain in her foster home to be loved and cared for until she crosses the bridge.   It would be greatly appreciated if you would see it in your heart to donate for DaisyLu's care.  Your donation is tax exempt, so any amount would be great.   SCMR thanks you, and DaisyLu thanks you.......   She is being fostered in Gainesville, FL. Story
Adoption Fee: $150.00 DaisyAnn is a playful, happy little girl that weighs about 12 pounds and is around 13 years old.  DaisyAnn was a stray, and because of that, we don't know much about her past.  She does have trust issues, but once she gets to know her human, she will want to be close by all the time.  She loves to go for walks and rides and is very smart and sassy. Daisy is blind from mature cataracts, but that doesn't slow her down much.  She sees light and shadow so she'll trot around following you.  There is a possibility she may be a candidate for cataract surgery (we have not had her evaluated for surgery), so perhaps there is a family somewhere that may what to adopt her and help her with eye surgery!     DaisyAnn is not house-trained, and while she will potty outside when taken out, she will relieve herself again when she comes back inside. She is trying to work on house manners!  DaisyAnn is a loving ball of fluffy fur and is waiting for her forever home.   She being fostered in Largo, FL until her forever family takes her home!     Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences.
