Story
Meet Cooper, our awesome little guy is 8-10 years young and 11 lbs. This little maltipoo is in need of a stable home to help him live out his years trusting people again. He came from a home where he was living with an owner with dementia. He was very unkempt and anxious. He is doing well in a home with several dogs and cats. He would prefer not to be left alone much, and does crave to be near people.
Despite his sad past., he is ready for his new forever home.
Cooper will do best in a home with another dog or two.. He is potty trained and uses potty pads. He is fine in a crate, and walks on a leash. He will need a quiet home to allow him to adjust and become a real dog again.
Cooper does fine with a bath, but doesn't like being brushed afterwards. He likes to be near people, but isn't comfortable being held. He will tolerate it. He is currently on medication, prozac, and we hope he can be weaned of it over time with patience and understanding.

We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Cooper.

Our adoption fee is $475. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
