Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 02/20/2020 Reason for being in rescue: Lovingly surrendered by owners Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Jasper has permanent corneal damage that cannot be repaired. His bad skin is mainly flea allergy which is under control and in remission. Jasper is also almost certainly atopic as well which may need to be treated as needed with Apoquel. He has infected ears that are being treated.  Weight: 9 lbs Height: in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $1 I am priceless Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Jasper needs a home where the owners/owner could be home a lot more since he is blind. Jasper will need someone that has some knowledge in his medical issues and someone who can give him the best chance at life. He needs somewhere to live out his retirement life and be a perfect lap dog for someone!  What is my personality like? Jasper is pretty laid back. He might be  blind but this boy can sure tell when you're around or when you're coming. He loves to lounge in his comfy bed but also likes to be right underneath you. Jasper is a true senior at heart but still has some great years left in him. Jasper is looking for his retirement home! How do I act when I first meet new people? Happy and friendly! He loves people and knows when you are near.  Other tips and tidbits: Jasper's estimated birthday is 2/23/2008 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
We'll also keep you updated on Rocky of Gaffney's adoption status with email updates.

Rocky of Gaffney had a major dental on January 3, 2020. He had 11 teeth extracted. He will need follow up dental care for the rest of his life.   Weight: 13.9 lbs Height: 11 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $349 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Rocky is a spunky, easy to get along with little guy. He wants to be the apple of his owners eye. Rocky is energetic and playful. He does have experience in a home with children. Rocky would do well in a variety of homes. Rocky already knows how to be a good boy, so he would work in many situations including first time dog owners. Rocky just wants to make someone happy.  What is my personality like? Rocky is peppy! He likes to be a little silly to get attention such as rolling and zooming. He is eager to give someone all of his affection. Rocky is pee pad trained. DSS would not allow Rocky to stay in his home for this reason.  The DSS supervisor on this home decided pee pads were not house training.  His owner had to be make a heart wrenching decision so Rocky came to live with us.   How do I act when I first meet new people? Rocky greets people with an excited bark. He calms down quickly once he knows he will receive affection.  Other tips and tidbits: Rocky's estimated birthday is 1/21/2013. Please note Rocky will be a light shedder.  He is not completely hypoallergenic.   House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. Story
Nola is a sweet little 8 yr old Morkie who weighs 7lbs. She is a friendly little girl but is very quick and will dart for the door or any fence openings, so she must have a small, securely fenced yard. Nola loves to go for daily walks and does great on a leash.  She loves to snuggle, she’s good with other dogs and cats, and loves to play with cat toys If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. An all adult home with a fenced yard (fence must be attached to the home) is required to adopt from Hart-2-Heart Rescue. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business days. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Adoption fee is $400. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.
