Georgia is quiet and loving. Her perfect day would be snuggling with her human and napping curled up next to them. She is skittish at first due to her rough start in life at a puppy mill, but comes around pretty quickly with some patience and love. She seems to be mostly house trained and will wait by the door when she needs to go outside. She will be a great fit in a quiet home with someone who is around most of the day and is willing to work with her to help her feel comfortable. Georgia is deaf, partially blind, and has a heart murmur that will more than likely require Pimobendan once or twice a day for the rest of her life. Her heart murmur will be rechecked this Fall or Winter to see if the meds need to be continued. Georgia's ideal home would be with a person or family who can take of her special needs. Her deafness and partial blindness don't seem to inhibit her in any way, and she's as loving and sweet as ever, but will need someone who can both provide the time and patience she needs. She gets along well with other dogs and wth cats. ##456306##

Hi, my name is Snowflake and I am a 2-year-old Maltese and I weight 12 lbs. I was found as a stray matted and filthy. My owner was contacted but they said they didn't want me back so CPAH came to my rescue and brought me into safety. I was incredibly terrified of men and really everyone sans children. It took me 7 days to warm up without screaming when approached. Can I tell you something???..I have made a huge transformation. I love children, I love snuggling deep in the covers in the bed at night and I have learned how to play with my foster pals. I know how to sit, beg and jump really high! I am such a lover that need a very patient home as I again make another transition over into my furever home. I spend most of my time sunbathing and chilling on the top cushions of the sofa or snuggling with my humans. I also love sleeping real close to my humans under the covers at night. I have settled in nicely over the past few months in my foster home. I can be very skittish at first and will need a very patient home to allow me to learn that I can trust you and my new surroundings. Sundae was surrendered to the Rockwall Animal Shelter due to one owner passing away & the other being put in a nursing home She was very scared & unsure what is happening to her! A plea was sent out, a LHS foster mom saw her and knew she had to get her out & help her begin a new life with endless possibilities. Sundae is a 6-8yr. old, 12lb. Maltese who is UTD on all his vaccines, spayed, HW-, current on HW preventive, micro-chipped, doing great on house /crate training. She does great on the leash, fine with other dogs, BUT WOULD do best as ONLY dog, older kids, but NOT cats. Sundae is the sweetest little thing ever!! She enjoys just chillin’, give doggie kisses and being loved on too. Now all he needs is his new FUREVER home...... could that be with you??!! We are so happy to welcome this Maltese mother and son duo to Paws of Love Animal Rescue. Precious and Rebel are a bonded pair that will be adopted together. Precious is 9 years old and her baby boy is 7 years old. They are owner surrender, due to know fault of their own, and have been taken excellent care of. They are both house and crated trained. They would do best with a retired person so that they can get all the love and attention they deserve. Precious and Rebel are easy going dogs and super sweet. They do well with other dogs, but it would be best that they not be around small children. Precious does have a cherry eye in the photos, but that will be taken care of prior to adoption.
