Animal Profile: Blue is an adorable ~12 year old Maltese who was just rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Blue is sweet as can be and is great around dogs & humans. He is blind due to cataracts in both eyes, and would benefit from a dog buddy in the home to help show him the ropes. Seattle Foster Update: Blue is very confident and friendly, and while he does flinch in surprise if you touch him when he doesn't know you're coming, he seems used to being picked up. He gets along well with the resident dogs.  He does well on walks, has good stamina and energy and walks quickly forward which is surprising for a dog that can't see but he's very confident and trusting.  He spends a lot of time in his crate sleeping, he is perfectly fine in there as long as someone - even just one dog - is nearby. He does know right away when he is alone and will bark until someone comes back. He sleeps through the night with our two dogs in the living room (in a crate, of course). We are looking for a forever home for Blue with a canine companion. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in Texas and joined us from Saving Our Strays rescue partner. This dog will be available for adoption in Seattle once evaluated.

My name is Mrs. Poppins from Korea and I am a wonderful 4 year old Female Maltese. I am 8 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am a very happy, affectionate, and friendly dog who was just saved from the Korean slaughter farms. Korea kills 2.5 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I need a home with a fenced-in yard and will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of exercise, love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1395.. will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Grooming, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle. A part of this adoption fee will also help us build our brand new 2 acre sanctuary. We are in need of building a new indoor barn for the dogs. The adoption fee is firm and helps cover medical expenses for our other rescue dogs in need of orthopedic surgery, urgent vet care, dental and teeth extractions, cherry eye removals, and more.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.

HI - I'M SWEET PENELOPE! I'm a 10-year-old female Maltese and I weigh 7.8 lbs. I was brought to the shelter as a stray, and my owners never came for me. I'm a darling, easygoing girl who needs tender loving care. After I arrived at the shelter, I had a vaginal mass removed and multiple teeth extracted. I'm now, though, on the road to recovery and am doing great! I spend most of my day snuggled up in my warm, cozy bed. I have a cataract in my left eye and some clouding in my right eye, and per the vet I am on anti-inflammatory drops for the rest of my life. I may have some early signs of kidney disease but it's very early, and there's plenty of time to remedy that with a great diet! I need a home with someone who can watch over me and love me and make sure I get the love and caring that I need. Can you adopt me?   My adoption fee of $260 covers neuter, DA2PP shots, rabies, bordetella, heartworm test, microchip, health certificate, and other costs. READ THE ENTIRE AD!! Lilly is tiny little girl - most of her 8lbs is all in her ears! She is super cute. We don't know what kind of dog she is and we are just guessing. She is a mixed breed of unknown heritage and is not nonshedding nor hypoallergenic. She is very sweet and docile and loves to be held as well as to play and to give kisses. She gets along great with other dogs, older children, and adults. She is almost housetrained and her adopter will need to continue to train her. Her fee is $850. FAQ (please read before emailing!!!) If the ad is up, the dog is available, We are not first come first served and your app can be denied for any or no reason. We match pets to the best fit home. All dogs are in Houston TX no matter what the ad says anywhere else. Please do NOT ask where is the dog located. The answer is Houston TX No dogs will be cat tested nor tested with babies. You cannot meet prior to adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PRECIOUS, is a sweet 5-year-old Maltese-Terrier mix pup who weighs approx 8lbs.  Precious and her daughter- Sugar Bear were rescued from a 90 dog hoarding situation.  Precious is timid and cautious to start but warms up with trust. She was socialized prior to rescue and has been more socialized since being in rescue. Precious just spent the last 4 months in foster care and has really enjoyed having one on one with a person, a real home and a lap to hang out in. Her foster mom is spending much of the year traveling so Precious is back at the rescue and we really want to see her finally find a family of her own!  Precious is a love and once she trusts you she will be happy being held and sitting on a lap while you enjoy a movie or are resting. She would do well with retired folks and people who have time for her and are home a lot. Precious is not leash trained and may be trained to a lead but the outside world scares her, so she would do best having a little yard for you to take her out in and she can be trained for car rides. She is housebroken to washable peepads while she becomes comfortable with your fenced area for potty breaks. Precious will need patient adopters, a child free-cat free home and time to get used to all the newness of a new home. With love, care and gentle persistence she has learned to trust and love and will make an awesome companion. she needs dog savvy humans who will allow her to bond with them at her pace, which does not take long. Her favorite thing is having her butt scratched and being told how pretty she is. Precious is being fed a Human Grade and Raw food Diet and we would like her to stay on this or better homemade quality-Human Grade food for her health and longevity.  Precious has a donation fee of $495.00. All monies are recycled to save more dogs.
