Story
Almond, lovingly called Almie for short, is the best cat EVER! Almie came to Prairie Pet in October 2019. She and her six litter mates were diagnosed with Panleukopenia. Almie is a fighter and even though she was close to death, Almie was always purring and sweet. Almie is a total love bug. She gets along with people of all ages, other cats, and dogs. Almie enjoys toys and she is always ready to run and climb. Almie has an issue with incontinence that puts her in the special needs category. We are not sure if the issue is from her illness as a kitten or because she is a Manx. We are working on diapers, but her issues are not messy so diapers are not necessary. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Story
**AVAILABLE AFTER DECEMBER 30TH** Hux was rescued from Tulsa Animal Welfare in October. He and all his siblings tested positive for Panleukopenia (Feline Parvo). Hux has the cutest half tail and the loudest purr. He has tons of energy and loves to play. Hux is so goofy and is always makes his foster parents smile. Hux is always wanting to snuggle and loves being the center of attention. We are working on Hux's manners because he sometimes gives love bites when he wants attention and pets. We have had a lot of success with redirecting him to a toy. Due to this need for training, Hux should not be adopted into a home with young children.

Story
Bob wandered into the home of my coworker, but my coworker was allergic and they had dogs. Bob stayed in their garage for a couple of weeks while they tried to look for a “lost cat” notice about him, but they never found one. Then, it got cold and he could no longer stay in the garage. I took Bob to be scanned for a chip, but he had no chip. I offered to foster him while I continued to search. The first night at my house, he escaped out the dog door that we have for our dogs. He was gone for two days. A neighbor found him and posted about him on social media. I brought him home, and he’s been living in my guest room since December. I’ve done an in-depth search of all local and extended area listings for lost pets & went to our local animal shelter to see if he had been reported as lost, to no avail. He is 13.5 lbs, cuddly and vocal. He is a male neutered Manx, up to date on all shots and is FIV- and FeLeuk-. Needs to be an Indoor-only cat. He is the best boy!

Story
We adopted Dolly when she was about a year old. She’s about 9 now. She had a litter of kittens who were all adopted as well. She’s been spayed since. She is very sweet but does not cuddle much. She would rather be on her own and is not super social. We are looking for a new home for her because we have a 3 month old and 2 year old who are allergic. She's a manx so she was born without a tail.

Story
Introduced into a 2 cat household. Very sweet, very playful, need to stay together. Love strings and laser pointers, favorite time of day is when they get fed. Very curious and want to follow you everywhere. They purr all the time and LOVE cuddles. Milo likes cuddling under the blanket. Milo was found with no tail, and given how small he was when found, we assume he was born without it. It doesn’t seem to bother him in slightest. He does a have little puff back there though, it looks like an adorable little bunny tail.
