Story
Charlotte was born around March 1, 2019. She is a tiny girl because she has mild manx syndrome. She has done extremely well adjusting to the way her rear limbs work and doesn’t know the word “can’t”. She has full bladder/bowel control. Her syndrome is seen in the way her rear legs work. She can jump, run in a bunny hopping fashion and use stairs no problem. She comes when you call her, which is probably because she thinks she is more dog than cat...

Story
Calico/Pixie Manx!!!  Hazel (FCID# 11/11/2019- 53) is a people-cat:  she does not like other cats.  Hazel is very happy to be out our clinic/shelter and into a foster home (03/21/2020).    Hazel's foster says,'Hazel is a pixie Manx who craves cuddles and affection!  This one year old girl loves to sit with you and be petted, yet she's quick to speak up when her food bowl is empty.  Her small size fits well in your lap and makes her a purr-fect companion as we shelter in place!   An abusesurvivor, Hazel is best suited to a home without other pets, however she'll fill your home with all the love you'll desire.  Note:  Hazel's vet thinks that she has 'hyperesthesia' (meaning excessive sensitivity) of her backside from injuries to her lumbar spine.  We've been very gentle when petting her, and now she'll let us lightly pet her back side. Please submit a no-obligation application to meet or adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Chris H.)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Karina for more information about this pet. This adorable little girl with no tail is Galaxy! She is a sweet, timid and shy approx 10-12 month old kitten.  She was very skittish when she first came to us about 5 months ago, but immediately started to follow our blind cat around as though she were her kitten. Thankfully our cat was glad to be her surrogate momma and showed her the ropes as far as head butting other cats, sleeping on the bed (particularly when the sun beams are out during the day) and walking around chirping in her adorable high pitched and faint little squeak.   Galaxy, who is affectionately nicknamed Poubelle in our house (hopefully you don't speak French or you may wonder how a cute kitten got a name like Garbage Can!  Please don't blame the kitten...her foster parents are weird. ;) ) took some time but has come out of her shell with us.  She will still sometimes run if there is a loud unexpected noise, but she now seeks us out, and loves to follow us to the bathroom for some reason.  She loves toys, and is particularly adept at chasing that pesky laser pointed. She absolutely loves other cats and will need to be adopted with an outgoing playful cat or kitten, or into a home with one who can show her the ropes and help get her acclimated to a new environment.  Thankfully she loves toys and food, so she can be won over with some bribery and patience.  Obviously because she was a stray we have no proof of Galaxy's pedigree but she does have the telltale manx stump (basically no tail, or a rumpy riser) and the adorable back legs that are longer than the front, a little reminiscent of a bunny.  As mentioned she absolutely loves other cats and should live in a home with at least one friendly feline companion.  She gets along with all the cats in her foster home.  She also lives with a large dog but is smart enough to stay out of his way.  Because she can be easily startled and scared she would probably do best without young kids. Galaxy is good with the litter box and typically uses the cat tree as a scratching post.   She will make a lovely companion for someone with some patience and understanding that she will take a little time to get settled in.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area.
