I’m looking for a new loving forever home to settle down in! I seem like a rather laid back type of guy too! So, if you’re looking for a lounge partner, I could be the fellow for you! Well hello there! You can call me Sir.. not because I`m all that formal.... it`s just my name! I am two years old and weigh 72 pounds. Yes I know I`m a pretty big boy, but I am very sweet. At least that`s what the friendly folks here at the shelter tell me. I love affection and will always ask for more, who can blame me? Pets and scratches feel amazing! I`m a very happy and wiggly boy looking for his forever companion.. could that be you? If I sound like your cup of pup please swing by the shelter to meet me, I`m very much looking forward to it! It`s hard to meet new people and pets quickly after leaving the shelter. I might need some time in my new home to decompress and process my new surroundings before meeting the whole gang. That`s ok though because IACS offers a cuddle before you commit program to ensure I am the best fit for you and your home. Nice to meet you!I am the sweetest boy and bestest gentleman you will ver meet! My name is Cork and I am 67 lb, 5yr Mastiff mix ready to crawl into your lap! Some of my favorite things to do is play with my stuffies and play fetch, however, I will trade my toys at any time for a yummy treat! The staff here say I play really nicely, but it is unkown how I will interact with other dogs, cats, or children although slow introductions to them are always best for me. The shelter does offer a Cuddle Before You Commit program to ensure I am the right fit for you. How awesome is that. Considering how young I am training me will be beneficial to help me be the best dog I can be!! Please always remember that slow proper introductions are always best to set me up for success! Unknown Animal ID: A339293 Tigger went out for a Doggy Day Out and here`s what the volunteer had to say: `Tigger was such a good boy for his day out!! He loved exploring and sniffing at the park! Even though it was raining/snowing at times he was up for any adventure and wasn’t bothered one bit. He walked well on a harness with the occasional pull if he smelled something good or saw a squirrel. He was a little anxious when the car was moving but laid down and took a quick nap after his walk when we were parked. He did well with city noises and didn’t mind walking on the sidewalk in Broad Ripple. We did not see any dogs out but he enjoyed meeting humans and took treats gently! He waited patiently for his McDonalds and bakery treat like the good boy that he is. When you sit next to him he will lean in for scratches and attention! Tigger was very friendly, calm, and easy to hangout with.` All adoptions come with 30-days of support from our staff to help make sure the transition from the shelter to your home goes as smoothly as possible. Story
Samson is 14 months old. I got him at 8 weeks old. He is very affectionate and loving once he knows you. But like his breed, he can be very protective. He is also fearful of strangers. I cannot keep him as he did lunge and bite my arm while I was drying his paws off coming inside the home. He needs someone who has the time and the dedication to work on this behavior and you will get a wonderful dog. I am gone 12+ hours in the day and I don't have the time or money to help him like he needs. He will follow you everywhere you go and his big head will be found on your chest or lap more often than not. I do have a chihuahua as well and Samson does really well with him. Very gentle. He is up to date on shots and will come with bowls, food, toys, leash and collar.
