Say hello to Alvin! Here at the shelter, he has been a friendly, wiggly gentleman. Because he came to us as a stray, we do not have any prior history on Alvin. But staff has discovered that he knows how to sit, down, shake, and paw! Alvin spent some time in an office and was a pleasant guest. He enjoyed curling up in a chair and looking out of the window. He loved hanging his head out of the window on his car ride! His bellowing bark may be intimidating, but he is a gentle giant that wants to spend all of his time with his humans. Alvin has been in training here at the shelter! He is excelling at his tricks and will give you his full attention for some snacks. Adopters should build a consistent routine to help him adjustment to his new home. Keeping Alvin mentally and physically enriched with puzzle toys, games, and plenty of walks will help him be comfortable and happy. This active boy would love to go on all of your adventures and play all day! If you are interested in Alvin, come meet him at the shelter today! His adoption fees have been sponsored!

My name is Willis, and today is the day I embark on my Journey Forward.You see I was left unclaimed in a City Pound East of Houston TexasLet me tell you a little about myself.I am 7 whole human years old. I am food motivated and very calm.I absolutely love Soft bedding but have been known to “shred” it when I want something to doI’m not crazy about being in a wire kennel... I’d rather just be with my human. I’ll just find me a soft spot and we can watch your favorite show.(Don’t forget, we will need snacks )I really don’t mind having other dogs around if they are like me. I’m not into that rough playing... I’m a “kick back sort of guy”Walks are great! We can go explore the many different sights and smells Together. That would be Awesome.Cats? Heck those things are for chasing... right?Let’s make sure no cats are in our family...I think older kids might be fun to have.They can brush my hair and give me TreatsOk let me know when I can move in. Simba Simba is new to rescue and we will be updating as we get information.  He had never left his yard, never been on leash, never been in a car, and only been to the vet as a young puppy. Right now he is under evaluation, learning to walk on leash, and will go the vet to get basic vaccinations along with being neutered soon. Check back on his progress and follow us on Facebook for updates. All of our Mastiffs are in private residences.  Please do not call prior to 8:00am or after 8:00pm. She is a very sweet, laid back girl that just wants to be loved and loved on.  She is good walking on leash and loves to go for car rides.  She will not be placed with other animals, needs a secure 6ft. privacy fence, and children over the age of 12.
