Story
They don’t come much sweeter than Lily! Lily is a 2-3 year old Miniature Pinscher/ Manchester Terrier mix. This little 15 pounds bundle of love is quiet , friendly , and loves to snuggle. Lily likes belly rubs and any rubs actually. If you stop petting her she actually reaches for your hand with her paw to get you to pet her some more. So sweet! Lily is quiet in her crate and is content there for hours, or she can sit and snuggle for hours too, she doesn’t mind either way. Lily is friendly with other dogs, big or small, but can be a little scared if the dogs are overwhelming and will tuck her tail and run away. She is learning to go for short walks on leash and in just two days has come a long way. She knows that her walks mean she gets to smell new things and is enjoying those outings more and more each time. Whoever adopts Lily will get a true companion, for life, so be ready!
Side note: she is probably fine with kids and cats but small kids (under 5) might scare her. She doesn’t act out when she’s scared just hides in her crate, but can learn to get along with small kids if they aren’t too noisy.

1. Email adopt@thisisthedog.com for an application. We will reply with application attached so you might have to check your spam folder. Complete Adoption Application and return to us at adopt@thisisthedog.com or fax to 305-247-9127
2. Meet with the dog. Bring treats if you would like.
3. Complete Adoption Contract
4. Adoption Donation is $200. Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Up to Date Vaccines, Microchip, Deworming, and Heartworm Check if needed.
5. Thank you! This is the Dog! does not have a shelter. Our dogs are in boarding and in foster homes primarily in Homestead, FL. We are a small group of volunteers. It is worth the drive South from Miami or North from the Keys to find your canine companion. This Is The Dog! for you!
