Story
Hiya, I am Pearl a 10-year-old mix of Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher. I absolutely LOVE to be carried around and will give you kisses all day long! I hate being by my self and would love a home where someone is home most of the day. When I came to MACC I had a tumor about the nice people here got it to remove and are get me spayed and I am now cancer-free and the vet is hopeful that it won't come back but I will need to see a vet regularly to make sure. I also am starting to get cataracts but they don't bother me i can still see okay. I'm very lively and full of energy and i don't plan on slowing down any time soon. I just wish I had been spayed when I was a pup. If I was I probably wouldn't have had cancer, but hopefully, my story will help more pups stay Cancer free. Did you know that If a pup is spayed before their first heat cycle they have a 0.05% chance of getting breast cancer but after just 2 heat cycles the chance of getting breast cancer is 26% and slowly goes up each time they go in heat? I'd really appreciate if you could donate to the vet here. The more people donate the more dogs and cats, like me they can help! Donations can be made over the phone or in-person I am looking for a forever home that will love and spoil me. I do great with kids and dogs and love to be the center of attention.
