This little cutie is Carmel. Carmel is a Miniature Pinscher mix. He is only a year old and he weighs 13 pounds. Carmel came to us through a local shelter where he was surrendered by his previous owner. Because the shelter is now closed to the public because of the COVID-19 virus we were his way out of the shelter and on his way to a new home. Carmel may be a small dog, but he needs a very active home. He has lots of energy that he needs to have an outlet for. He requires a physical fence at his new home and it needs to be a very secure fence. Carmel is good at finding weak spots in the fence. Carmel would like to get lots of walks or even a little jogging. He is a fast, little guy so if you like to run sprints he will give you a run for your money. He loves toys and you can find ways to keep him busy by playing with him and his toys. He might also be a good dog to do activities like agility courses as he seems pretty adventurous. Carmel does already know most basic commands like sit, stay and down. Carmel is very affectionate and loves his people. He does well with other dogs his size, but thinks cats are for chasing. Carmel is kennel trained and will sleep in his kennel. He would probably also love to sleep with his people. He is housetrained and has good indoor manners. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. Now he just needs his new address. Maple is believed to be a Min Pin mix, born January, 2020. Maple had a hard start to life. She was abandoned at a park and then located by animal control.and kept in a shelter for a week. Now this sweet girl is safe and is searching for her forever home. We are unsure of breed but looks very much like a miniture pincher mix. Maple is very laid back and loves to snuggle. Maple can startle easily by large dogs but has been sweet with dogs and cats. She would do amazing in a home with other medium or small dogs. Maple is sweet to every person she meets so would do well in any family with older children. She maybe too small for small children, and she startles by fast movements and will yelp due to being scared. She will make an amazing addition to some lucky family. The suggested adoption donation for Maple is $350. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. Harper is a happy, 5 year old Min Pin who loves atterntion. Harper suffers from diabetes and does require injections twice a day. His insulin is inexpensive and Harper takes his injewctions well. PAW Animal Shelter is a high intake No Kill Shelter ran by a staff of 4. All adoptions are $200 per dog which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $100 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Sophie is a purebred miniature pinscher who was a stray. We took her to the vet and put up ads, but she is not chipped and was never claimed. The vet guessed that she’s about 6. She has a tiny bit of gray on her muzzle. Her ears & tail were cropped when we found her. We have to move to a house that only allows one dog, so we cannot keep her (We have a MinJack since she was 2 months old). Sophie extremely friendly and always happy, NEVER bites. She hates it when cell phones make noise-it scares her, and she hides behind toilets. :) She always wants to be covered by soft blankets, even in the summer. She doesn’t like to play rough. She loves to cuddle and is very affectionate. She needs a home with loving people and lots of blankets. She’s house trained, but be sure to keep a supply of puppy pads if you’re gone too long-min pins are notorious piddlers. She is quite literally bouncing with joy and/or burrowing in blankets all the time.
