Story
Handsome Jack is a big bundle of love in a tiny body. Don't let his age and arthritis fool you, he has plenty of spunk left and scuttles around the house without any kind of worry! He may tip over from time to time, but he gets back up, brushes himself off, and gets right back to his task...following you wherever you go.Jack is pretty good with house training as long as he is let outside on a good schedule and without long periods of time in between. He has been known to mark in the beginning (as many male dogs do), so he is familiar with wearing belly bands. He is very tolerant of wearing sweaters for extra warmth and loves to cuddle with his people under a blanket. He will sleep in his bed at night though...as long as you don't cave into his few pleas to join you in bed. He would be a great companion to anyone that is home often and is looking for an adoring buddy! If you are interested in adopting him, start by filling out an adoption application (https://cfp-nc.org/adopt/) and CFP will be in touch! If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at <a href=""http://www.cfp-nc.org/adopt"">CFP-NC.org/adopt</a> and we will get in touch with you.

Story
Caesar Augustus is a handsome, sturdy little fellow, with a shiny black coat and tan and white markings. He may be a min pin mix. Devastatingly debonair, Caesar Augustus is waiting for his special family (adults only or adults and older children), upon whom he can shower his devotion and entertain with his antics. He is just the dearest little thing! Caesar needs someone who is home at least part time or a family with opposite work schedules (he needs to go out for pee breaks ~ every 4.5 hours at most). And he needs a detached home with a fenced yard. Caesar lived successfully and affectionately with another small dog previously, so he'd enjoy a home with another small dog. He is curious about cats but not aggressive. Still, he'd rather chase them, which, of course, they don't relish; so we are saying no cats. Caesar likes to indulge in outdoor sports (running, wrestling with a small dog, playing chase) off and on during the day in the yard, and he adores lying out in the sun watching the birds. He particularly likes to play ball, and sometimes even brings it back (see videos)! When it's time for a walk, he is absolutely ecstatic! Wag, twirl, wag, twirl, wag, twirl, wag! He is very good at meeting small dogs while on a leash (see video of a dog he'd never seen before!). Then he's ready to come in to spend loving and companionable times with his person. Caesar is affectionate but not needy. He likes to sit on the couch next to you; or if he gets there first and lies in your spot, he will either move over when told or is obedient and understanding when you move him. He also likes to follow you around the house; but he's also happy in a room with a doorway gate, and often chooses to be in his crate (no need to lock the door--he never ruins anything in the home). Caesar sleeps through the night without a peep. And if by chance you're aren't awake when he wakes up (~7 to 7:30 am), he will come into your bedroom and stand at your bedside to let you know he has to go out. Caesar loves his Pet Pantry Chicken & Rice food, and jumps all around and wags furiously in anticipation, yet often waits until you sit down to eat before he eats (1/2 cup twice a day). A clever little dog, Caesar knows Sit, Stay, Come, Wait, Go out? and Move Over. Anyone would be lucky to have Caesar in their family! Caesar Augustus was surrendered to a local shelter when the family moved.

Story
Hi! I'm Sirius! Named after the magical wizard in Harry Potter! And magical I am! It's "magic that I am an extremely loving dog after all I have been through in my approx. 7 years! I was found extremely malnourished, weighing in just a little over 6 lbs with chronic pancreatitis and diabetes. BUT I have gotten all that under control and am ready to be your loyal, almost Velcro-like companion! Here's how! I am a Min-Pin mix with the most amazing ears! I also have the cutest overbite that features my snaggle tooth and has earned me the nicknames: Snags, Snaggy, Snaggalopugus, and Snaggy-Poo (my foster mom's favorite!) I LOVE to snuggle and cuddle! Whether with humans or without. On your lap, next to you, on a couch, in a bed, or on the floor. Burrowing under blankets is the BEST! Sometimes I need your help, but I can usually do it on my own. I make the BEST WFH companion! I will lay by you on the floor (under a blanket of course) while you are working, or I also love to be on your lap and make the occasional appearance on your video calls! My big ears can sometimes give me away! I LOVE the sun! Whether it's outdoors or inside. I will find a sunny spot in the house and lay in it. When it moves, I'll move with it! Weighing in now at close to 7 lbs, I am very portable! I love car rides, running errands, hanging out at breweries or taking walks as I do well on a leash and (again thanks to my big ears) listen well to commands! I go into my crate to sleep overnight and when humans leave the house. I have been allowed to sleep with humans in their bed and I do love it but it's not a necessity. I also like to go into my crate on my own sometimes during the day when I'm stressed. If I do that, please leave me be as I'll come back out when I'm ready. Due to my pancreatitis, I am on Rx food and can only eat that food -even for treats. But I don't mind bc it's good and I'll do anything for it! I wear a "magical charm which is my diabetes monitor. This is changed on me every two weeks. I don't mind it bc it helps you see my blood sugar levels at all times which keeps me in check! Humans love it because you scan the charm with an app from your phone and it gives you a reading. That is also sent to my "magical healers at the vet for them to keep tabs on me too! I need injections of "magic juice (insulin) two times a day for my diabetes. The humans have figured out multiple ways to give them to me to cause the least amount of stress possible which they will happily share with you! I don't really mind them! The house dog I currently live with is 70 lbs and we get along GREAT! Actually I don't really do much with her and she is the same with me. So I feel I will do well with another dog in the house. I'm not sure what a "cat is so I'm not sure I would like them but I'd be willing to try. I kinda like to "talk sometimes which can be a little much for the humans. But it's only because I want them to know that someone is at the door or that I'm excited for my dinner or that I'm excited to see magical healers or other friends. I'm learning the word "quiet means to stop talking. I am a work in progress! :-) I am house trained! Because of my size, I have a small bladder and because of my diabetes, I LOVE water. So I just need to be taken out every few hours. But at night, I can sleep about 9 hours prior to going out and same with when the humans leave and I'm in the crate for a bit. Bottom line is that I am a really sweet dog who is looking for its fur-ever home that has lots of love and care to give me...not to mention blankets! I'm looking forward to meeting you!
