Story
Bourbon is 8 years old. He loves to snuggle under blankets when it's cold. He has a lot of energy. He would do well with someone that has a fenced in yard, or a yard big enough for him to be on a runner. Bourbon has separation anxiety. He is on medication for that. Bourbon does not do well with young kids as he was never raised around them. He would most likely do well with an older couple. Bourbon does well with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Lynn & Cedric (lynnwelcomesyouhome@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific animal,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!   Hi can we talk?  I'm really tiny so I am not looking to be a little kids 'friend' cause I'm not happy with the thought of lots of little feet running around near me :(  I would like another small pup to be my friend as I dont want to be home alone while you have to go somewhere.  I prefer a pee pad so if I have to go I don't have to try to hold it to long I mean lets face it I'm a little thing with a tiny bladder. My foster mommy says a fenced yard would be nice since I am not used to a leash.  RequirementsFenced YardNo young childrenAnother small dog    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to  families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt dogs to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.  We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!

Story
Posted 10/23/15 Jelly was surrendered from a not so great situation.  He was with another female dog and did well with her but it does depend on the dog.  He has been a good little guy that has crated well and has been nice boy here, but needs a dog savy person.  He has NOT been with children so we will not place him with kids or cats.  He is 22 lbs  but can be a busy dog and needs a fenced yard to expend that energy.  He is about 2 years old and is housetrained here.  He needs to come to you on his terms.  His adoption fee is $225.   All the dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee along with an adoption kit . Application REQUIRED. Adoption fee required. If interested contact Denise @ (717) 469-7325 Email: Doggieden@aol.com The FIRST STEP to be considered for adopting a pet is to fill out the adoption application COMPLETELY .Fill Out Adoption Application HereOR  thedogsden.rescuegroups.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Meet Buster, aka Downtown Buster Brown! This energetic boy isn’t sure if he’s a min pin or super man with a cape! He’s full of young boy energy and has springs for legs. He LOVES to play and will need an active household with plenty of stimulation. He would not do well crated for long periods of time. No small children (under 15), as he can get a bit too excitable when playing and likes to nibble fingers. Breed experience a plus.

Story
Sophie is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves to cuddle and burrow under the blankets. She was adopted at 6 months of age from a shelter and came from a puppy mill. She is now 7. She is always up for a good walk any time of day, however she does get extremely excited when she she’s other dogs when she’s on the leash. With other dogs, when not leashed, she is friendly. She also has spent some time at doggie daycare and does well there. Sophie has anxiety if she is left for longer periods of time. She needs to be a in home where someone does not spend elongated periods of time outside of the home or could potentially take her with them. She is very much a lap dog and a cuddler.
