Dog's Name: Destiny Estimated Breed : Hound/Pinscher mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: approx. 40 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $300 DOG'S DESCRIPTION Destiny is a fun loving, happy, and caring girl with a funny little stance! Destiny loves people of all ages and loves to play with other dogs. She is currently living at a foster who has two dogs, a female Golden Retriever and a male Lab Mix who are 5 and 3. She plays great with both dogs and also does her own thing and chills with her human friends. She enjoys watching movies, long walks, and chew toys. She travels well and has learned to sit. Destiny is still working on wait/stay and shake but she is eager to learn and listen. Destiny will bring so many smiles, and lots of laughter to your home with her adorable personality! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
