Story
Dobby is an 6 year old male Miniature Pinscher who was found as a stray in a small rural county of Tennessee.  This pure bred Min Pin  boy obviously belonged to someone who never came looking for him and so the shelter asked Critter Cavalry Rescue to please take Dobby and help get him a good and loving home.  Dobby seems  to have been  well cared for in the past.  The shelter held him for two weeks and tried posting for his owner.  Critter Cavalry is now offering this special guy to someone who will never lose him.  He is happy, easy going and still the usual active boy like a Min Pin will be. This boy is good with other dogs and just wants to be loved.  If you are interested in this boy please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  He will be a treasure for someone. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Karl was adopted at 2 to be a companion for an elderly family member. He was an excellent pet her, enjoying snuggles on her lap and calm neighborhood strolls. When that family member passed away, Karl transitioned well to being the family pet for a young couple. He can keep up on long walks or hikes but isn’t friendly to other neighborhood pets. He is very protective of his family and is a good guard dog. We had hoped he would again transition to a change in his “family” with the addition of a baby, but he is a true min pin - he is best suited to older children or adults. Karl is larger for a min pin but is still a very small dog (approx. 13-14 lbs.) He has a beautiful red coat, does not shed excessively, and has been relatively healthy. He is very cute and has some cat-like tendencies (e.g. sleeping on the back of the couch). He is quick to learn new routines as well.

Destiny loves people of all ages and loves to play with other dogs. She is currently living at a foster who has two dogs, a female Golden Retriever and a male Lab Mix who are 5 and 3. She plays great with both dogs and also does her own thing and chills with her human friends. She enjoys watching movies, long walks, and chew toys. She travels well and has learned to sit. Destiny is still working on wait/stay and shake but she is eager to learn and listen. Destiny will bring so many smiles, and lots of laughter to your home with her adorable personality! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.            Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.  Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org Sponsor Me!    Make a tax-deductible donation today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/ . Story
Perfect pocket sized companion alert! Sissy has the body of a small dog but the can do attitude of a big dog. She also has a heart of gold, the attitude of an athlete, the snuggle power of a puppy. She's a perfect catch! Her face maybe a bit frosted, but that is the only part of her that shows her age of 8 years young. She's a stunning 19lb mixed breed gal (maybe Min Pin or Rat Terrier?) who is always ready for a hike or an adventure. She loves humans and enjoys being with them. Don't let this golden girl fool you, she loves doing agility and exercising, but also happy to snuggle on the couch. Sissy is the perfect companion for any kind of family! Sissy is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
T-Bone is looking for a quiet home with patient humans who will give him time and space to adjust. He will be a great walking partner! He loves walks and enjoys taking a couple of mile long walks every day. He also enjoys curling up on the couch with his head under the blanket while listening to the TV. T-Bone is fine with dogs he sees on walks but prefers to be the only dog in the home. He has been in a foster home with cats and pays no attention to them. He is house trained and crate trained and is used to sleeping in his crate. He is well-behaved, knows 'sit', and is not a chewer. T-Bone was surrendered to HART by his owner when she could no longer take care of him due to her own health issues. He has been through a lot of change and needs structure and a calm environment.
