Story
Freddie 🐩 is an active poodle who really loves his humans. He loves to play with toys, and other small friendly dogs. once he wears out, he loves to cuddle and watch movies. Freddie adjusts quickly to new routines in the house, as long as he has a crate to adjust with. He's crate trained and potty trained. His favorite toys are squeaky small toys, and playing fetch. His favorite activity is laying in bed with the humans and sleeping in on the weekends. He likes walks in beautiful places moreso than areas with lots of cars. He does have some energy still and would like an active family who will continue working to socialize him. 🌟 We only adopt out in Columbus, Ohio Adoption fee $300

Story
Samson came to us from a rural shelter. The owner was forced to give up his beloved dog of 12 years. Samson is a joy. He is loving, sweet and full of energy. Especially considering his age. When he came to us he had several tumors. We had all 4 removed and they were all just lipomas. (benign) Samson knows several commands and is very eager to please. If you would like to meet this sweet boy, submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org.

Story
Hello! My name is Kenny, I am a sweet senior boy looking for a loving home. I lost my eyes and have limited hearing but that doesn’t stop me from being a curious little man! My foster mom keeps a belly band on me because I really don’t know weather or not I’m inside or out so I lift my leg on things I shouldn’t 😬. She lets me sleep with her tho and shares her pillow and I’ve never had an accident in her bed! I love to snuggle, I enjoy bath time, I am very vocal and sometimes I just bark and bark! I love to be heard! I have never been aggressive and I get along with other dogs although other dogs don’t understand that I am blind and when I bump into them they get upset 😢. I would do best in a home with no stairs and with other non aggressive dogs or just the only boy in the house. I would also do best with children who are older or maybe no kids at all. Kenny's adoption fee is $250. Submit the adoption application at http://www.charlieswishanimalrescue.org/adoption.html. We need to have your application to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Katie's adoption donation is $375 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, started on prevention as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning as well.  KATIE WILL REQUIRE A FENCED YARD AND A COMPANION DOG AND NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10. Katie is a shy girl who loves to chew on bones and enjoys the company of other dogs. She would do best in a home with a friendly dog, who will play and show her love. Although Katie does not like to walk on a leash, she enjoys her daily walks in a dog sling and loves to get outside to run in a fenced-in yard.  She is working on potty training but does well on if kept on a schedule.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website, not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the individual webpage of our dogs, you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.

Krissy is a survivor as she came to us  from a puppy mill in Amish country.  She has a sweet, very gentle personality and is approximately 4 years old.  She will require some patience as she is very shy of people at first.   A securely fenced yard is required as she is a flight risk due her puppy mill experience.  Krissy  is doing well with her potty manners if kept on a schedule.  We do require that all of our puppy mill survivors have a companion dog of similar size to help them learn how to be a dog and have good doggie behaviors.
