After the quote from Maya Angelou, I feel the nightmare of not having a safe place and loving family dissipate. I know a family out there will open its arms to me without conditions and expectations of a “perfect dog”, but is willing to go on a journeyyy to a fulfilling life with me in it. I am a special needs pooch who is on medication for behavior issues and is on a training protocol to help me open myy heart to trust in humans again. I have a level 3 bit historyy on the Dunbar scale. I can sometimes have aggression toward other dogs too. I believe in being honest about my issues; however, I also I brace my successes. My aggression toward people have improved by 80%. I do not want to bite people anymore and with proper protocol I engage strangers with food games. Please, do not be afraid of who I am now, but envision the pooch that I will become. Will you take a leap of faith with me? Will you open your heart and let me in? Will you be my safe place? If you adopt me my foster who is a professional positive reinforcement trainer will continue working with you and me as long as is needed. I really am a sweet dog and I like to sit on you lap and play with my toys, I love to play tug with my people. I am an affectionate boy! I have some seriously good training skills, more than most dogs! I now need the consistency of my forever home and continued training to bring me home to the dog I know I can be. I am house and crate trained too! I am okayyy with other dogs and I live with some cats too in my foster home, but for my forever home I would do well as an only dog so I can continue to grow without distractions. All dogs have had a recent visit to the vet as well. Adoption fee is $380 We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. All of our dogs are in foster homes.
