Tessa was adopted from an animal rescue when she was 1 yo. Breed: unknown (think Mountain Cur); weight: 40 lbs; age: ~7 yo. We recently had a baby and her behaviors have regressed, necessitating us to rehome her. This breaks our hearts, so we intend to make sure that we find the best fit possible! Tessa needs an very active owner who is experienced with strong-willed breeds and doesn't have small children. She is HIGHLY intelligent and needs to be kept busy. She's crate-trained, but has some separation anxiety and escape-artist behaviors. She much prefers to be on the move. She does well with other dogs (we have another dog in our home and go to dog parks), but at times demonstrates dominant behaviors. She's a big cuddler and likes attention all to herself! It's our recommendation that she's in a single-dog home. She's also highly alert and acts as a great protective companion. She comes with her crate, remainder of flea/tick meds, slow-feeder bowl, collar, leash and vet records.
