Story
I got this beautiful dog from the Northeast Ohio SPCA in Parma, however she is originally all the way from Tennessee! Ari is a very sweet and loving dog with a lot of energy! She would be best suited with a family and/or a home with other dogs as she really loves to play. She is an amazing dog, however my work schedule doesn’t allow me to play with and exercise her as much as she deserves. She is very and outgoing deserves a loving home where she will get plenty of attention and room to run around.

Story
We got Bailey 3 years ago from a rescue. He was 2 years old when we got him he was great with our 8 year old. He listens more to dad but we struggled training him. He is house trained. We recently just had a baby and he is jealous and has been having accidents in the house. With the new baby and the busy schedule we just can't take care of him right now. We feel like he would be better suited for a family with older kids and that have more time. He loves being outside but need to be on a lease unless you have a privacy fence. He has jumped our chain fence. He can make a great dog for a family with more time and a little patience.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Keep those jogging shoes handy if you adopt Chika because this very friendly and outgoing 1 year-old All-American mutt is raring to go! We have no idea what combination of breeds came together to create this bright-eyed and alert girl but we’re going with Mountain Cur and Shar-Pei. Note that wrinkled brow when she focused on the camera. Chika came to us from a county dog shelter so we have no history on her pre-shelter life. Since coming to us, we have found that Chika LOVES to play with other dogs but is a very rough and tumble player so would need a canine buddy who could match her intensity. She has been very friendly with all people that she’s met but it doesn’t seem as she’s had much training to date as she’s very strong on the leash and may jump on people for attention. She can also be a little mouthy when she gets excited so will need to learn that playing with people is not the same as wrestling with other dogs. She will sit for a treat though and is very food-motivated which should make working with her on obedience training a rewarding experience. Chika has had excellent crate manners in her foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. If you’ve got the time and energy for an active young dog, Chika will reward you with years of love and companionship. Chika weighs about 38 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Chika. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Chika and to submit an online application.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Chester is a kind and gentle but camera-shy 2 year-old Mountain Cur/Hound mix male with a cute bobtail who found himself homeless at a local county dog shelter and, on top of that, tested positive for heartworms there making it very difficult for him to find a new home. The shelter staff and volunteers were very impressed with Chester’s disposition so reached out to us for help him. Chester went through heartworm treatment in June and did very well with that so is now ready to begin the next, best chapter of his life in a new home. Chester did very well with the extended cage rest that comes with recuperation from heartworm treatment. He has excellent crate manners so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. Chester has gotten along well with all other dogs that he’s met and is very affectionate with his human friends. He does like to chase cats so would do best in a kitty-free home. Prior to coming to Canine Lifeline, it's likely that Chester lived his life as an outdoor dog so will need a patient family as he adjusts to life in his new home. Chester would do best with a calm canine to show him the ropes (preferably a mature spayed female) and an owner who will give him a lot of boundaries as he learns his new routine. He can’t wait to experience how wonderful a dog’s life can and should be once he has his very own home. Chester weighs about 49 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Chester. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Chester and to submit an online application. Chester’s heartworm treatment cost about $750. If you’d like to make a donation to help with his medical expenses, you may do so on our website at www.caninelifeline.org or by sending a check to Canine Lifeline, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts OH 44125. Thank you from Chester and Canine Lifeline!

To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Meet Carmella, a lovely girl with a beautiful red coat and a cute bobtail who might be a mix of Mountain Cur and Rottie but that’s just a guess. Carmella is about 2 years-old and came to us from a rural county dog shelter. While we have no history on her pre-shelter life, we have found Carmella to be a very friendly, outgoing dog with nice manners. She walks nicely on a leash so may have had some training in the past. Carmella gets along well with other dogs so might enjoy having a canine buddy in her new home.  She has done well with crate-training in her foster home so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it.  She’s very affectionate with her human friends and is sure to be a very devoted companion for her new family. Carmella weighs about 67 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped.
