Story
Mr. Maximus is ready to find his forever family, and he wants them to know these 10 things about him:
1. I am a Neapolitan Mastiff, and I’m about 2 years old.
2. I CAN’T GO TO A HOME THAT DOESN’T HAVE EXTENSIVE GIANT/GUARDIAN BREED EXPERIENCE. It’s super important that my forever family understands me, and why I do the things that I do. The people at the Bullpen are very serious about this, and will not consider applications from unqualified individuals.
3. Like many dogs of my breed, I can be wary of strangers, and I need to be introduced to new people and visitors slowly. A house with frequent guests or a lot of activity is NOT for me.
4. I live with big and medium-sized dogs at my foster home, and I like them all. If introduced appropriately, I think I would do well in a home that had other dogs that I could play with.
5. My foster family also has a feline, and I have learned to cohabitate peacefully. Its okay by me if my new humans have cats in their home.
6. I really like kids, but I still have a lot of energy and sometimes forget my manners, so it would be best if my forever family had kids that were older than 10.
7. My foster dad describes me as happy, goofy, and playful.
8. I love to spend time outside, play with the other dogs, and snuggle!
9. I am housebroken and crate-trained. I also know how to use a dog door and some basic commands!
10. I am current on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.**
