Story
My daughter wanted a large breed dog for her birthday last year. Reluctantly I was able to find one for her. We’ve never owned a puppy before and the dogs I had before were absolutely amazing. Comet is not a bad dog. He’s just a year old & needs a lot of attention which my daughter does not give him. I didn’t want another dog, especially a big one. She is not being responsible as she should. She does not clean up after him & she doesn’t spend enough time with him. He needs a companion but we can’t afford another dog. He attends doggie daycare once a week but that’s financially draining as well and my daughter does not contribute. My home, backyard & car are a mess due to a pet my daughter wanted not me. Her & I have discussed surrendering her dog twice & although she’s not happy about it, she has not taken the steps to change my mind. She will not clean up after him, spend enough time with him or contribute to his upkeep.
