WHERE IS THIS DOG NOW ?- He is arriving Dec 9th from Korea and will be settling into rescue for awhile to confirm his needs.there are 4 dogs arriving Friday - they will be assessed, put in to foster care and then given time to adjust before being put up for ADOPTION IN THE NEW YEAR. The breed is a best guess from the sending rescue - please do not email and ask for more info on that as we have none They have been in foster care in Korea. **ALL ABOUT ** ** Requirements for BOSS ** LOOKING FOR AN ADULT ONLY HOME - NO KIDS, VISITING KIDS, OR EXPECTED KIDS IN THE FUTURE PLEASE -Adult home or teens - Exp home that has exp in managing/ caring for fearful/ timid dogs and being willing prepared to adjust ones life/ routine to meet this dogs needs first and formost. -must have FULLY secured/ fenced yard. No tie outs or partial fenced yards. -quiet home and community. -No apartments -no access to cottages as is fearful and will startle bolt. -Existing stable dog /buddy in the home to help build confidence Boss is estimated to be 12 months old and is 8 kg he was in a pound with his brother and sister and they were all going to be euthanized in July he is not used to other dogs he is not going to be fine for a home with babies, toddlers, kids [ inhome or visiting } **Sending rescue Info ** 1. Age: 12months 2. Weight: 8kg 3. Breed: Shepherd Mix 4. Sex: Male 5. Personality: so scared, friendly to people but we should slowly approach and touch. He enjoys biting toys and playing in his own space 6. Were any of the dogs with children?? – what ages ? were they ok or scared of kids : very scared . Must be more than 15 age 7. Where they came from before for you?- a puppy mill or meat market ? : He lived with his brother and sister in a shelter where euthanizing (Brother Nissi, Sister Dawin). He was on the euthanasia list in July. So we were rescued him. (same shelter where Jessie lived.) 8. do they come when called? : Yes- to those he knows/ trusts 9. do they know how to walk on leash? : It is possible to wear, but he scared walking after wearing it. 10. any fears, things they do not like : He is afraid of someone holding something in his hand. 11. good with dogs ? : No, he does not like other dogs. (He has never experienced a cat.) 12. ok to be handled- picked up ? –some that are scared can be biters : If you try to hug him he is afraid, 13. must have a fenced yard ? : yes 14. how long in foster care/ rescue : Early in August 2016 15. Neuter : Early in August 2016 16. Potty trained : 90% 17. House trained : No 18. Special Needs : None 19. Currently eat : dog feed More to come as we learn / confirm this dogs needs. Rather than trying to force him, it is better to get familiar with him by calling his name slowly. 6. Were any of the dogs with children?? – what ages ? were they ok or scared of kids : Can be uncertain . more than 15 age is best 7. Where they came from before for you?- a puppy mill or meat market ? : He lived with his brother and sister in a shelter where euthanizing (Brother Boss, Sister Dawin). He was on the euthanasia list in July. So we were rescued him. (same shelter where Jessie lived.) 8. do they come when called? : Yes to those they know/ trust 9. do they know how to walk on leash? : It is possible to wear, but he is sensitive to sound. Begin by taking a walk around the house rather than in the distance. 10. any fears, things they do not like : He is afraid of someone holding something in his hand. 11. good with dogs ? : good, but he does not like badly approaching puppies. (He has never experienced a cat.) 12. ok to be handled- picked up ? –some that are scared can be biters : He is always by your side, but if you try to embrace you run away. It is possible if you become friendly. 13. must have a fenced yard ? : yes 14. how long in foster care/ rescue : Early in August, 2016 15. Neuter : Early in August 2016 16.
