Story
The energizer pup with a heart of gold! Hello, I’m Milo! I’m a playful pooch looking for a furever family that can give me the love I’ve always longed for. I’m a 5-year old, 50-pound Shepherd mix, but from my energetic attitude, you’d probably guess that I was just a puppy! I was rescued from The Animal Pad’s partner shelter in Ensenada, and sadly enough, I’ve had a pretty ruff past. A BB-gun pellet is embedded in my lung, but my body has healed around it and the vet says it's best to leave it alone. I have minor respiratory issues because of this and sound like I'm breathing noisily, but it's not a big deal, I just might need antibiotics every once in a while. It’s a miracle that my body healed and that I’m still a healthy boy (already neutered too!). I have gone through so much, but that doesn’t stop me from living life to the fullest and wanting a special hooman to share that with. I have a bubbly personality and I love, love, love my toys! Chasing them around the yard is my favorite. Sometimes I accidentally eat them (oops), so keep an eye on me during playtime. I also can’t get enough of running around with my people and going for nice long walks. I am still working on my socialization skills. Sometimes my mouthiness can become inappropriate when I'm overly excited, and I need someone to help me practice calmness. I get along fine with other dogs once I've gotten to know them, but sometimes I don't like them at first, so I should be introduced slowly. Because of my mouthiness, I may not be the best fit for a family with kids, but I have lived very happily with a toddler in the past with no problems. I haven’t met any cats, so I’m not sure about them. In terms of training overall, I’m a fast learner when you get my attention (especially when there are treats involved...can you blame me?). I’m still getting this leash training thing down—everything outside is just so exciting! The key thing is that already I’m house trained and would love to learn more tricks with your help! The perfect hooman for me is one who is experienced with dogs and is willing to dedicate their love and patience. I know I have a few quirks, but I promise that I have so much love to give. I’m a big, goofy sweetheart just looking for someone who can help me be the best pup I can be, and give me the family that I’ve always longed for. Will that special person be you? I hope so! My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Story
Little miss Sansa is available for adoption. She is approx 1-1 1/2 year old golden retriever. She is a petite girl at 45 pounds. She was rescued from the streets of Turkey and traveled to America to find her furever home. Sansa is an absolutely incredible dog and would do best in a home with another younger dog as she has lots of energy. She gets along perfectly with small and large dogs but a dog her own size is ideal as she loves to play. A home that will provide her with the daily exercise she needs is a must. Sansa is potty trained, crate trained and would make the perfect addition to any family. Sansa will require basic obedience training in her forever home, and would do best in a home without younger children as she loves to jump and greet you with a big hug! She walks very nicely on an easy walk harness and is used to walking 1-2 miles per day. Please note that Sansa is being fostered in the West Hills area. If interested, please fill out an application on our website
