Story
Jill is one of our Angels, three little girls who came in together Feb 27. She is the last one available. About 1 year old and 9 lbs. She is the tallest of the three, but she is in the middle in weight. They look like papillon mixes with a spaniel coat that does not need trimming.  Jill is mostly white with a little brown.  She does not have the dark eyelining of her sisters, so she looks a little 'pink' eyed - just coloring; she is very healthy. She likes being held, and she also likes to cuddle in your lap. Sweet girl. She can be dog selective. She may need housetraining. **She came in not feeling well, but she is now tip top.  Though she just got spayed and is a little sore from that.   Check out her cute belly rubbing video! Couple of weeks post spay, she got her super duper home with mom, dad, two human sisters and brother k-9   So cuddly, she showed her family she loved them right away.  We'll share pix and love letters we get from them.&#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees start at $150 and go up to $750. The higher end is for our most in demand dogs, such as puppies, young beagles, and hard-to-find purebred dogs. In special cases, for purebred puppies, we may go beyond this and charge $1000. The lower end is for dogs that have been here for a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs.  Email your application and ask for more details. Story
Max Fluff is a fluffy little guy who is sadly looking for a home at the age of 13. He's 15 lbs and looks like he's mixed with several breeds, including papillon and maybe coton du tulear. He's all white, has pricked ears, and a plume-y tail. He's neutered and has his rabies shot and a chip. House trained (including to pee pads) and well behaved. Not a barker. He's extremely smart and obedient. The shelter he came from reported that he was hostile to them, but that's not unusual for an older dog suddenly in a strange environment. He was also very matted and skinny. Here he has had a good appetite and has been steadily gaining weight. It's not clear if he has vision or hearing problems. He can sometimes be startled if someone touches him suddenly.  He has been a really sweet boy with people here, and he clearly has a lot of love to give to someone. He's not barky at all, and he has obviously been trained in the past. He's become friends with two other senior fluffy dogs, and they like roaming our grounds together.&#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family?
