Story
Monty is a handsome 6 (+/-) year old neutered male with current shots. Small mixed breed (Papillon & Chihuahua), black with brown points and a white chin and chest blaze, weighing 18 pounds and about 15” tall. Owner went into nursing facility and we must find him a new forever home. He is a sweet, affectionate and lovable lapdog who is happy to cuddle on the couch. He’s fine with children (a little timid at first) and cats, but can be scared of big dogs. He was recently attacked by a German Shepherd and is still healing. He currently has 13 stitches in his neck which are scheduled to be removed on Saturday 2/15. Monty is used to running around on the farm chasing squirrels and is not leash trained. He is a good watch dog and he is NOT a yippy barker. A fenced yard would be ideal because he does not know about road dangers. Currently fostering in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, but needs to be placed ASAP or he will have to go to a shelter.
